@@AlessandroPelle may I please ask you which bass guitar would you propose me for post-punk + similar genre (Joy Division, New Order , The Clash, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Stellastarr, Stereophonics, Strokes), just for chilling and playing bass home alone. The budget is approx 1000 - 1600 €. My best friend proposed me the Fender AM Perf Jazz or the Fender DLX P Bass. Should I go for a P or Jazz guitar ? Or maybe you propose another one ? What's your opinion ?
We could talk days about this, and the truth is you can play any genre with any bass, is all up to you. 1000+€ is a great budget and you can get many awesome basses. I would go for DLX Precision, but go out (if you can) and try both, then choose the neck you prefer.
@@AlessandroPelle I proudly own the last 4 months an American Fender Performer Precision Bass. I have been through many of Interpol songs. I find Carlos D basslines very interesting. Jam home alone after work, that's the best. Now, I' m thinking to change strings for first time. And I am inbetween the GHS Bass Boomers (Roundwound) , the Daddario Chromes and the Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky. Even though I listened to online reviews, cannot decide yet. What's your experience - opinion on bass strings ?
