Stéphane Fuget et ses Epopées ont réussi à rendre à la musique sacrée de Lully toute sa portée spirituelle. Trop de leurs prédécesseurs n'y voyaient qu'une musique théâtrale comme si l'académie royale de musique s'invitait à la chapelle. Cette vision était bien trop simpliste et ne rendait pas pleinement justice à son auteur. Dans le contexte qui a vu l'émergence de ces motets, l'édification des fidèles était omniprésente. Lully fait donc preuve d'une éloquence impressionnante dans ce volet, qui nous plonge dans un immense office funèbre servi par des interprètes totalement habités par ce qu'ils chantent et jouent, portés par la formidable intelligence d'un chef qui a réinterrogé ces partitions en profondeur pour en révéler toute leur splendeur.
Le slogan de France musique est « ce monde a besoin de musique « Ce monde a surtout besoin de spiritualité laïque ou religieuse la musique sacrée en étant une composante. Merci pour ce merveilleux moment.
"Franchouille" musique, une version édulcorée de la médiocratie invasive tous azymuts, l'époque des belles émissions animées par des experts modestes mais érudits, est défintivement close... s'ils avaient eu un peu de fierté et d'ambition ils auraient écrit : "notre monde a besoin de "toutes" les musiques classiques !" (jazz, opéra, baroque, symphonique, chanson populaire, ethnique, etc)
What a performance! All singers and musicians seem to be so highly involved in this. They are all singing and playing with the same voice and the same spirit. This is my number one musical experience lately. BRAVO!
c'est un ravissement , pendant 1h10 : cette musique de Lully, ce - rare ! - grand ensemble de voix baroques adossé à un ensemble d'instruments anciens, et chacune de ces voix individuelles chacune particulière, magnifique et fondue dans l'ensemble ; je n'oublie pas le chef grâce à qui tout cela est magnifiquement coordonné et mis en valeur. Superbe moment de musique passé avec et grâce à vous, grand merci . Sans oublier le vénérable Lully, trop souvent relégué au divertissement de cour, et qui révèle son talent et donc son goût pour la musique vocale sacrée . J'adore !!!

Дирижёр просто великолепен!Певцы и музыканты блестящи,но...Музыка была написана,когда в Европе верили в Бога,сейчас мало кто верит.Я с наслаждением прослушал и даже поаплодировал.Почему?Потому,что при замечательном исполнении я не почувствовал души!Это было точное -из ноты в ноту-,но светское исполнение духовной музыки.Но всё равно,стоит поклониться этим певцам и музыкантам за то,что они исполняют такую музыку!

He arrived in France at the age of 14 where he did all of his musical training there. A man of genius without a doubt, but his art was learned in France. Sorry

Depuis les années 1980 la musique française , par ses nombreux admirables ensembles , a su redonner une vraie grandeur a la musique sacrée , et de cela nous avons tant besoins. La jeunesse des interprètes qui suivent si bien leurs aînés montrent l'intérêt d'une tradition pour garder une identité digne et capable de nous sortir de tant de médiocrité d'un monde sécularisé.

@@WinrichNaujoks I'm fairly new to French baroque, but so far it seems that the majority of ornaments are not notated. I don't know whether there are rules governing the ornaments or they are ad libitum. I suspect it's more of the latter. I'm a total sucker for ornaments.
The performance might be enjoyable if it were not interrupted by random ads at random times in the middle of the music. I understand that ads are necessary, but please do not place them mid-phrase.

Diese Musik ist Teil der europäischen Kultur und leider in Deutschland überwiegend in Vergessenheit geraten. Ich bin froh und dankbar die fantastischen Werke aus Renaissance und Barock auf RU-vid zu finden.

@@stephanefuget2647 Thanks, but as I am bad in french I tried to translate this "quinte de violin" with bad result. To me it looks more like a small cello with perhaps the same tuning as a cello? But I can understand this is request from Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles. And perhaps very unique.
