Do you know the reason of the "Lululemon" name as "Lululemon"?

The name "Lululemon" was actually chosen by the company's founder, Chip Wilson, when he first started the company in 1998. The origin of the name is somewhat interesting. According to Chip Wilson, he wanted to create a brand that would appeal to both Japanese and Western consumers. He believed that Japanese people had difficulty pronouncing the letter "L" and that having too many "L" sounds in a brand name might create challenges in marketing the products in Japan. To avoid this potential issue, he decided to come up with a name that did not contain any "L" sounds. He spent several weeks brainstorming and came up with the name "Lululemon." The name was based on the idea of having a brand name that was fun and playful and would be easy to say and remember. So, while the exact meaning of "Lululemon" is not explicitly stated, it was chosen primarily for its phonetic qualities and the desire to create a unique and memorable brand name.

They got it wrong. It had three L's, which were difficult for Japanese people to say, and he thought it was funny.@@kc-me6wl

I do not understand, this man speaks about a global product just because he is sick then he sells it. 😂Selfish but lucky that he has money and can cure himself, maybe if it hadn't happened to him? Not it He would have done it.

I think chris rock covered this company well. He said they have a sign in the windows of their stores declaring that they oppose "racism." And then they sell jogging pants for $100. Rock said the people in his audience would prefer some racist jogging pants for $20. So would I.
