Where the real time Lut really shines in my opinion is, imagine you creat your own Luts in Davinci and import them into your Lumix camera when you livestream for instance :)

Autofocus on 1080 60p would be so good. I know it's a 4K camera, but at 4K high frame rates, you get that annoying crop, and with the lens I have, it's unbearable. Some projects only require 1080, so that would be very helpful.

I like using the app for easy phone editing and fast media sharing.

The AF update is the one introduced with the gh7

I’m always grateful for any new firmware updates but honestly there’s not much in this one that will be overly useful to me. The app will be better if they add the functionality to control aspects of the camera even if it’s just as a remote shutter trigger but as it stands it seems to be just a way to transfer photo / video and LUTs between the camera and your phone, again not something I will find that useful. if you do use the app then the 5G upgrade will be good. Leica monochrome, nice to have but I doubt I’ll use it, and I don’t really use real time LUTs, so I probably won’t assign a button to this function either. As for the XLR2 update. Nice to have the option to use this unit. I like the functionality of the XLR2 over the original, the cold shoe would be handy to mount my DJI Mic and the addition of the shotgun mic holder is also great as is the ability to plug in a 3.5 mic and control the levels on the unit as you would with and XLR mic BUT the real power of this unit is the ability to record 32 bit float audio directly into your camera… as long as your camera is a GH7. Sadly, this function is not available with this update and as far as I know it’s a hardware issue so unless you have a GH7 you’re out of luck. I assume this function will be on any new cameras like an S1HII (if that is ever released) or future versions of an S5 like an S5III(x) but given the lack of 32 bit float for older cameras I'll just be sticking with my XLR1. Again, I’m not complaining and I'm always happy to get updates whatever they are as it means that Panasonic haven’t abandoned these ‘older’ cameras yet (unless you’re a GH6 owner) but I doubt there’ll be many updates coming that I will personally find overly useful from here on for the S5II.
