Amazing tutorial. I was really used to use my GH4 for recordings. Even taken pictures directly from 4K videos. But this is different, excellent balance of lighting by using HDR and manual mode. Thanks a lot!
Thanks for sharing. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out how to do the manual method (in post). I obviously could find the HDR in camera method, but the manual Bracket mode was eluding me...
Which method are you trying? The in-camera HDR or just the manual 3 bracketed shots? Have you made sure the drive dial (dial on the top left of the camera) is in multiple exposure mode?
I think the gh4 can do up to 7 bracketed images. I think the amount of images it takes is somewhere in the menu. I no longer have this camera so I can't remember where it is in the menu though
Hi Robert :) Every photo is going to use different settings depending on the light, etc. If you learn exactly what each setting does (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed) you will eventually understand what settings to use for certain scenarios and looks. Another great way to learn is to put the camera in auto mode and see what settings the camera uses to get the shot. I do have a video that explains all of those things but it's mainly focused around video, it's quite similar though.
