That answer is very understandable. It'd be horrible for the trio to get super attached to each other, then hear that they are gonna get split up and not meet again. So to avoid that situation, Gemini wants to figure out how long they can stay so there wouldn't be any long distance relationship strain in the future. And they explained it so nicely too. The answer isn't a straight no. So maybe at a better time, they could try again. After all, Gemini doesn't know about love and all that, so I'm sure the duo would wanna research about it more to understand the concept better.
