Born in sevenoaks and so nice to see it on your film and even saw someone I know brilliant. Only just found you on RU-vid and have to be honest I wasn't sure about you to start but now I have warmed to you. Love your enthusiasm, attention to detail and your knowledge makes every film very watchable. Keep up the great work and keep on enjoying life
Some of the best motorcycle content I've seen on RU-vid in a long, long time. Makes me wish we had old pubs in the states. You did however inspire me, to pull my triumph Bonneville with a sidecar out of the garage and go through all the mess of strapping my wheelchair to the back and going for a ride out in the country. Thanks for the great videos, really look forward to seeing future content.
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you liked the video! That is fantastic, strapping your wheelchair to back of your Bonneville- so inspiring🙂 Have a great ride!
You finally got to a place we know! at least my great-uncle knows Sevenoaks and Chipstead, 'cos he has two od universiy chums living round there. But he's never checked out the George and Dragon(!); so that's on our lst for our next trip, As ever, thanks!
Greetings from Seoul, Korea. Old school V-max rider here, been riding motorcycles since 1978 when leather jackets were still made of horsehide. Love your ethusiasm and your energy. My wife likes you because you remind her of a young Paul Bettany and you always include a short rider's fashion segment. Keep up the good work!
I am just so surprised to see how little your channel is right now, you are going to be BIG, keep up the good work, you deserve soooooo many more of the subs, which I am 100% sure you will get. Thanks for the excellent footage, your format and personality are incredibly entertaining, and your gear, wow, so much good stuff
@@FreddieDobbs I couldn’t resist it Fredster. I’ve bought the District RST riding shirt. Its superbly made. I’ll swap out the current armour for D3O ghost. Softer, more comfortable and better protection. Brilliant recommendation 👍🙏🏻👏
More rider gear!?!🤣....I recall one of your first videos when you showed the world a tiny wardrobe containing 90% of your gear and the rest of the tiny space being Monika’s!!.....I think now you would require a complete room converted into a “Freddie’s own walk in wardrobe “....Kim Kardashian and Imelda Marcos eat your hearts out...Mr Dobbs has you well and truly bounced out of the ball park!!!...🤣👍.....great vid sir....I’m so impressed with Monika’s filming/editing....it’s pure joy to watch 👍
Your videos are great. I really want to visit Kent now it looks so beautiful. The rusty sunglasses bit was laugh outloud funny. I like that you don't take yourself too seriously. Would like to see your take on the Harley Road King. Keep up the good work.
Great vid, thanks Freddie. I'm from Sevenoaks. It's a beautiful place to live and the gateway to some of south east England's finest biking roads. Kent and East Sussex. Perfect. 👍
Just discovered your channel. I’m more of a sport bike guy but wow, what great content. I feel like I’m right there with you guys. I totally get the love of the retro bike world. Subscribing for sure. From Vancouver BC Canada 👍
Just bought a Triumph Bonneville Newchurch and will be picking it up this week. Can’t wait! Loving your channel. I have a Deli/Coffee Shop in Headcorn Kent where they regularly have classic car meets at the aerodrome where they also have spitfires. Let me know if you want to do a video there and I’ll sort you out with a nice coffee and a spot if lunch. 😀
Hi Freddie, I had an xmax 250 for 10yrs absolutely superb machine, no chain maintenance. Small wheels a downside on uk roads. I sold it 2 weeks ago and buyer messaged me from south of France 4 days later!
The scooter was a Honda Forza 300. I have one and love it, no problem carrying helmets two go under the seat. I've never been to Sevenoaks, looks nice, will go there for a ride and try out the coffee at Basils. Knole looks great, I've been to Ightham Mote nearby. Also well worth a visit. Cheers for a nice ride out.
Cant believe it. I only live down the road from you in bexleyheath... As soon as I saw the fish roundabout in Erith. if you see anyone out on a Husky Svartpilen... It's me. Great video.
Great relaxing videos involving motorcycling. I like your enthusiasm for Triumph having only collected my first New Tiger 900 two weeks go and absolutely loving it. A more classic based Triumph maybe next time. We love Knowle park and only living 30 mins from there we often ride to Sevenoaks for a spot of lunch and coffee, a relaxing and very pleasant town. Keep up the excellent videos!!!
Love the video🙌🏻 really amazing awesome to hear you want to go to isle of wight. I met my wife on the isle of wight😁 i worked there for 10 months building the boilerrooms for the greenhouses and stayed in Sandown. Really beautiful island🙏🏻 keep makeing these videos🙏🏻🙌🏻
And I thought traffic was bad here in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex :) You are a natural Freddie. Always look forward to your vlogs! And I would be remiss in not acknowledging Monica's contribution behind the lens!
Great content and another enjoyable blog Freddie and Monica keep them coming . I ride the Bonneville scrambler and can’t wait to see you ride and comment on this bike .
Your the man Freddie what a gorgeous pub and the food looked good too spot on vid as per really enjoyed and well done Monica on the camera . The house is fantastic I luv it and assume you can go inside to look around too .Well done both : ) cheers
Another cool vid Freddie, great drone footage, good luck with your BM speech,i've done a few of them & Mr Jack Daniels defo helped me through haha, had a great 4hr steady trip out on the Trident yesterday, can't wait to get it's first service done in a couple of weeks,Cheers.
Thanks Adrian, I did have a few glasses of wine and just about survived the speech!😆 Glad you're enjoying the Trident- I've heard great things about them!
@@FreddieDobbs ah thanks for taking the time to reply Freddie, glad you survived your BM speech haha,ah cheers, yep the Trident has helped me to enjoy riding again, you must try & get a test drive/review if you can, look forward to your next vid, they are a refreshing change to the usual motorbike reviews i watch & the variety & music & style you put in are fab👍
Relaxing video. Almost like actually being there, with a great bike, beautiful scenery and girl minus the expences. Looking foreward to the Speedmaster and (finally) the electric bike! Keep up the good work!
Love vid as always Freddie. Motovlog, travelog and fashionvlog (? Is that the word? It is now). Perfect. Would love to see you visiting some places in Essex (drop in when you're here!) Cheers. Re. Maxi-scooters (lol. That phrase. Sounds like a feminine product on wheels!) I have ridden a few. MP3 250, 400 and Fuoco (500). Aprilia 850 (about as maxi as it gets). Beverly 350. All putting the 'fun' in 'functional' hehe. I commuted into London for 5 years on them. Also tours to Europe and around the UK. At the same time I rode a 1959 Ariel, so... My modern classic triumphs are the more recent crossing of the two ;^) The scooters and the Ariel were great, but there's no going back now I've traded them in for the Triumphs!
Rust on the glasses. oh no. Sorry I laughed when you said that. ah man - can't catch a break. BTW can't wait to see that '21 street scrambler vid - really want to hear your opinion on it. Another great video! Well done!
Rusted sunglass frames is a first for me- some kind of weird oxidation which was a nice surprise for me!😆 The Street Scrambler and Speedmaster are two bikes I am ridiculously excited to try out!
Looking forward to your Speedmaster video, Freddie! Great video as always. I really love how you feature gear that works off the bike. Keep it up and stay safe, cheers!
Thank you for that very nice and relaxing video. The more I watch your videos the more I get the desire to do that with my bike (Moto Guzzi V 7 2021) in my hood in Bavaria (similar landscapes) 😉
Thanks Andreas! Ooooo one of my dream bikes the V7 (although I've never ridden one, I LOVE the looks!), and what a perfect place to to enjoy it in Bavaria!🙂
Great upload as always Freddie 👍🏻 another bike to add to the list is maybe the Rocket 3 if Triumph are happy to let you borrow their range 😉 picked up my R Nine T yesterday and loving it so a sunny Sunday ride is just the tonic today, ride safe mate and I look forward to the next one 👍🏻😎
G'day Freddie & Monica from Australia. I love what you are doing here. You come across as very genuine, honest and authentic. The 'amateur' feel to the videos is very watchable. (That was not a negative comment). You have a sense of humour that comes through without looking like your 'trying too hard'. The music is great and the clothing / helmet reviews interesting. I will be looking closer at some TCX boots because of your 'boots an' all' video. AND ... you remind me of Vivian from the Young Ones! I really liked Vivian... Couple of things; I liked your reference to the Gold Coast on your beach run - and - parts of Australia do get cold sometimes. Actually some snow fell recently along the ranges in South East of the country. (That's where I'm from) Does make for some chilly rides. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your thoughts on the Speedmaster. It's the closest thing Triumph have at the moment to my 2015 Thunderbird.
Thanks very much James, really glad you're enjoying the channel!🙂 TCX boots would be my pick for the best all rounders on the market- superb! I love the Vivian reference!🤣 I had no idea it snowed in SE Australia! I did a home exchange on the Gold Coast for a month, about five years ago, and went to a Triumph dealership to take a look at a Thunderbird- I couldn't believe how massive it was. I spent the next two years desperately wanting one, I just couldn't quite afford it
Freddie, you're a natural born showman. All will be fine. Just avoid the wine this time. At least until you're through with the speech. Thanks for the awesome video! I confirm "pubs" as you have them in the Uk are not a worldwide tradition. And you have some pretty old and awesome ones.
Appreciate it! I just about survived the speech😆 We do have a great selection of pubs here in the UK, although the numbers are dropping, which is a shame!
Such a beautiful region….very jealous. Ya talked a bit about a 125cc scooter….have ya tried a grom or a z125 pro? If so, what are your thoughts? Again…very jealous….such tremendous country side views. Enjoy your vids …..keep up the great work….a great hello to Monica
I can’t wait until you review the Speedmaster. That motorcycle is pretty cool; overlooked by many. It has so much personalization potential and it costs less than its closest competitors… whoever they are because it’s such a different bike in my opinion. Great vid as usual, Freddie!
@@FreddieDobbs Looking into accessory and mods. I’m a Triumph fan boy and I don’t think I could part with my Street Twin and I want a bike that’s comfortable and the Speedmaster ticks a lot boxes, price being at the top.
Shouldn't be long before you need to wear your t shirts untucked and size up the riding jeans Freddie looking at the portions of grub you're tucking away in a day 😂😂 death by chocolate cake!! Gary from the Toon
Triumph Scrambler and Speedmaster reviews will be interesting. Dunner worry about your speech I'm sure it will be fine and enjoy the wedding. Back in the day I nearly brought a MGB GT but changed my mind and had a Triumph Stag in daytona yellow, 4 speed manual with overdrive!
ahh just up the road from me next time your down this way give me a shout and we can do some awesome coffee in a couple of places i know, can't wait for the next one, in nature is always best
As I’m sure you’ve discovered Kent had some great country roads for bikes (unlike that nightmare at the beginning of your video). Best time of course is Summer evenings/nights when it’s light to around 10 pm and very little traffic.
The Thruxton is stunning, but maybe a bit too aggressive for my relaxed riding style, although I would love to try one as I think they're one of the best looking bikes on the market!
Another great vlog Freddie, you are right about the cb1100, unfortunately it never hit the spot with the press. I was lucky enough to buy one of the last rs versions before euro5 killed it. You should try one soon! Keep up the good work!
Lovely watch Freddie, I had a walk around the park their recently lovely place, you missed a trick though at 9:01, my pal Claudio has that coffee shop Nonna's Cappochini, beautiful coffee and Italian breakfast, talking about upcoming bikes to be featured on the channel, you have any plans to ride any Royal Enfield's? Keep up the good work
No way! Next time we’ll go to Nonna’s! Good shout about the REs- I’ve tried all of them, but before I started RU-vid, so i’ll ask to try them again (I’m a huge fan of them!)
Lovely video , in a place I have not been to for years , which one , why do all ladies ask that ? mine does when I say we will pick up a bouye when out at Hurst castle in our rib , I reply the red one and then she said , there all red , well any one you can reach , as the end of the boat hook is drifting to the shore . If you make it to the New Forest this summer , give us a shout and I will take you round to Hurst spit in the rib , bring your camera crew , weather and tides permitting .
Wow. MG BGT and a CB1100RS in the same clip. Two of my all time favourites. Nearly bought an MG BGT once, got married instead.Should have bought the car. Might have lasted longer despite the build quality. Did get an MG F. Looked nice, but piece of poo. Head gasket would go every 20 miles😂
Good luck with your speech, you’re a great lad. My advise is don’t try and be funny just be yourself and say some nice things… on the bike front would love to see you do a comparison with a street twin and your own bike.
Thanks Stevie, I performed acceptably for the speech (it won't win any awards, but I survived!😆). Very good idea- I'll remember this when doing the Street Scrambler review!
I recently found your You Tube channel and am enjoying your trips around London and England on your Bonneville. I grew up in the States looking at pictures of my Dad riding his Ariel and Matchless motorcycles around his home in Bristol UK, during and after WW2. I visit the UK as often as I can but I haven’t gotten brave enough to ride a motorcycle on the “wrong” side of the road. Maybe next trip. As a Dad and Grand Dad with a daughter who rides, and Grand daughters who are interested in riding, I hope you are cladding your camera person Monica in proper riding gear, like the kind you show that you are wearing. I’ve been riding for 50+ years and have seen some improperly dressed women come off a motorcycle in a crash and it’s not a pretty site. And as we say here, If Momma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. Keep those videos coming and keep the shiny side up.😎
That is fantastic, what an image of riding around the UK in the war years on an Ariel and Watchless- superb!! And thank you for the advice regarding Monika's riding gear, there's always room for improvement and you're absolutely right!🙂
