Green moong khichdi Wash and soak 1 cup rice in water for 30 minutes Drain and add 1 cup sprouted Green moong In case you don't have sprouted moong then soak Green moong with rice in water for 30 minutes and drain and follow the remaining steps. Heat 2 tbsp ghee and 2 tbsp oil in a pressure cooker Add 1 inch cinnamon 5 cloves 2 bay leaves 8 black peppercorns 1 tsp cumin seeds Stir for a minute on a low flame Add half a cup chopped onions Stir until they change colour Add 1tbsp Ginger garlic paste and 2 green chillies Stir for 2 minutes Add 1/2 tsp turmeric pdr A little salt for now Add veggies of your choice You can skip if you wish to I added 1 cup each of Cauliflower, carrots, beans Stir on a high flame for 2 minutes Add rice and moong sprouts Add salt Mix well Add 6 cups water Close and allow 3 whistles on a medium flame When ghe pressure is gone open the cooker and add 2 tbsp ghee Serve yummy khichdi with any sidedish or raita
