4m gaff it’s about 30 yrs old I’m sure there’s an equivalent now but make sure it’s light in the hand many are too heavy imo

That's not true you get them down the south coast every autumn

ATM the warm current at 23/4 deg is against the coast from Iluka down to Port Mac, so id try in that zone, any headland that holds tailor will do, not your normal deep water LBG ledges, you'll be mixing it with tailor anglers most of the time
