Lure fishing for bass around Elizabeth Castle -
In this video I will be using a mixture of different lures around small exposed reef systems and shallow water whilst bass fishing from the Kayak.
This video is ideal for beginners that want to learn about lure fishing for beginners.
For this very quick session out on the kayak I decided to head out straight after my 12hr for a bit of early morning lure fishing around Elizabeth castle.
I guess you could say I was just itching to get out and wet a line after work.
The sea state conditions were ideal with a minimal amount of wind.
Usually when lure fishing this part of the coastline it does seems to be much more productive in the height of summer when there are a lot of baitfish but with the conditions being ideal I thought I’d best give it a go regardless.
Located on Jerseys south coast, the castle offers up some pretty good fishing ground to explore from the kayak. Whilst fishing here during the lower stages of the tide with some small reef and rocky areas to put a lure over it can sometimes be quite productive for the bass during the flooding tide.
