This is the bait / lure that I designed to accomplish the same task that the Savage Gear 3D glide swimmer 5.5" swimbait did for so long - only now it's slightly bigger, tougher, swims better, and it's mine! Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Roman!

I have mostly made top water poppers out of broom stick handles because it’s easy. You sir have taken it to a new level. Got me thinking on this cold winter day.

Never thought of baking the clay before carving!!! That's a big reason I do masters out of wood because the clay for me was so hard to sculpt to look like a real fish while it was still soft. I would always screw up what I sculpted

There are times when you bake and times where you sculpt it raw. You have to tinker with it to find the best way. I will end up doing a complete video on how to do do it soon.

yeah. When you get the hang of it, sculping is WAY less work than wood-carving.

where did you learn about wrapping polymer clay, I am redicent about using that technique since my attempts have come out acymetric. I have only used sculpy for my mold blanks aswell Have you used silicone mold making material to build mold masters yet ?. I am sure that would be the next step for you. Cheers from BC Canada
