Painting a craw pattern is one of my favorite challenges when painting lures. You have to battle the airbrush, stencil and symmetry...at least I have to battle with all of them in this video. If you are too heavy fingered while lure painting you make the normally delicate lines of the lure too bold. Sometimes the stencil has a mind of its own and slides all around the lure while you're painting. And don't get me started on symmetry. I'm just lucky to get lines in the general vicinity.
This crawfish crankbait didn't come out exactly as I had planned. I made a few mistakes but in the end I'm happy with the final product. A shout out to @crawdaddyscustomcrankbaits1695 who continues to churn out incredible looking lures...especially his craw baits. His work inspires me to keep practicing and learning.
