I did these two from Attadale quire a few years ago with two night's camping. No way I could have managed in and out in a day so very well done guys.

Hi Alan, These two tops are hard to get regardless of the direction of attack. We’ve always gone in from the north rather than Attadale but your always glad to see the car at the end of the day. Many thanks for watching. Cheers, Charlie

Hard day for you and Mike,well done Charlie. Loved the remoteness of these hills, peace and solitude heaven, keep them coming, Ian Dundee 😉

Hi Ian, It's such a terrific area when you're in and about these two but just a bit harder than the normal Munros. Cheers, Charlie.

Outstanding effort Charlie getting these hills done in just 10 hours. You make it look easy when it's a long hike in rough terrain to a very remote location. We did these hills over two days with overnight camp back in 2004. Great to see up there again. ATB Derek

Hi Derek, These two are easy to get close too for an shorter walk. We’ve had three different routes to them in the passed which all turned to be about the same distance. A terrific area and great to see again. Cheers Charlie

Some great walks you've done lately Charlie... You two certainly putting the hammer down. My knees where feeling it after watching this one ! The highlands looking seriously amazing. Cant wait to get back over the border and visit. Top Stuff 👍👍

Hi Moses, It's the time of year the highlands are at there best and we get to travel a bit further for the northern Munros. A get few days to some remote tops with views from everyone of them, just superb. Cheers, Charlie.

I must admit, Charlie, that I cheated a bit on the walk from Attadale. The head stalker gave me a lift to Loch Calavie on the way in but I did have to walk all the way back after the excruciating descent from Lurg Mhor straight back to the loch. I have some great photos from the tops; it was a beautiful, clear day. Thanks for all your videos. I enjoy them very much and because I guess I'm a similar age to you, they're encouraging me to do some more hillwalking in my retirement. Neil

Hi Neil, You did well getting a lift from the head stalker and great that he/she offered to help. Glad you enjoy viewing our outings and get encouraged to get out.... it doesn't get any easier as the years roll on 😂. Cheers Charlie.

Hi Philip, Your right to leave them for a better weather day as its a long way to go not see anything. It also gives the opportunity to take breaks as required. Cheers, Charlie.

Hello Charlie I think I’d definitely need a bike if I ever attempted those two. It’d probably still take me 10 hours, that’s some serious walking. Thanks again, Phil

Hi Phil, They are a difficult pair to get at regardless of the direction. I've try three separate routes and they are all about the same for effort and distance but what an area, just great. Cheers, Charlie.

Hi Neil, There is always a chance of having the tops to yourself with these remote tops. They are just hard to get at and needs a wee bit more effort than normal hill days. I was surprised we actually saw another three walkers on the summits during our visit who appeared to be heading back to Attadale. Cheers, Charlie.

Hi David, We've completed quite a few Corbetts but no real plan to get around them all... We are working through another round of the Munros (well into double figures to go) which we should complete next year. After that, who knows... 😂 Many thanks for taking the time to view. Cheers, Charlie.

Hi Charlie, love the videos! I'm hoping to do this route later in the summer, do you know if the area around Loch Monar is suitable for wild camping? Thanks, Paul.

Brilliant day out Charlie i was told years ago that the Cheesecake was maybe one of the remotest Munros you will climb and it certainly looks like it but what a stunning part of Scotland looks great! That's some pace you and Mike had how was the knees after that one?
@charliemccartney7055
@charliemccartney7055 2 года назад
Hi Peter, Cheesecake is certainly up there for views which are absolutely stunning. Its just a long way to get onto the beast... I find that my knee isn't to bad if I can keep the strength in the muscles around the joint. Hopefully, that will continue. This walk has got us thinking about Ben Alder six again so not too bad for two old farts. Cheers, Charlie.
