Dan, you deck is the dream of all commander player. Such a cool built, with great interactions, original cards, many different permanent types, good synergies and beautiful alters!
Great game. As (nearly) always with your games, the decks were well balanced in power level so everyone had a chance to do their thing and made for a really interesting dynamic. How do you manage to get decks this well balanced? All too often recently games I've played have become archenemy even after some rule zero discussions.
We don’t always get it right but we do two versions of a rule zero talk. First when planning the game I give a general power level that we are shooting for. Cedh, high, mid, jank. Then before we play we talk about how we win, fast mana, tutors, and combo power. If we feel like someone’s off they usually switch out a couple cards at that point.
Great game. if you play standard the AFR creature lands and preban faceless haven are in every deck. They make control decks mediocre because they hide from wraths and i have to imagine would be solid in low to mid power EDH where there are a lot of wraths and combat matters a lot more.
First off, I love the design of the UI for the channel. I have an idea I wanted to run by you, obviously you can disagree if it doesn't work: Would it work well to put the guests' logo(s) at the bottom of their banners? Like put Dan's logo at the bottom of his picture of Ramos on the right, where the kingdoms logo currently is? It would help identifying which guest is which when you're terrible with names like me lol
I think it could work. It would just take extra work to make a new one each time. I have tons of improvements and more I want to do but we have to pick and choose where we spend our time. I’ll put that on the list though!
I think I went and got two dual lands! I totally messed up and thought it got any two plains when it does say basic plains. I don't think it changed the game, but it was a mistake so good catch.
alt art is nice and all, but Lurrus has lifelink... and Dan should have had some more Saheeli tokens. I don't think both missed triggers would have impacted the game all nitpicking aside, I love the variance in powerlevel of the games on your channel
Great game, fantastic alters. I was a fan of the "air discharge" sound effect every time someone lost a life. Got annoying especially when Jon was playing a drain deck that had multiple individual instances of life loss.
