Interestingly, Luther Vandross also sang on 'My Forbidden Lover', in fact he was heavily involved in the monophonic group vocals Chic was famous for. It's difficult to make him out, because all the voices are singing in unison, but he's definitely featured!
I wonder if they did anything together too. I recall N. Rogers in an interview saying something about being tight with Luther and David Bowie sometime during the 70's. I do recall people saying in the 80's that Luther used the Chic women as his backup vocalist.
@@KingsdaleNorth Oh yeah: Luther himself did some background vocals on Chic's early records, while Fonzi Thornton, Michelle Cobbs and other Chic vocalists show up on lots of Luther's LPs. There's definitely a great missed album there, a wonderful thing that could have been and sorta, almost was.
