Ken did you ever install binding onto a guitar using acetone? I've done it before and it works, normally I glue it on tho, the acetone melts the binding and will make it stick onto the guitar quite well tho.
I really hate doing that sort of thing, but when you're really in a "bind"... You could do it right on the guitar. Then it wouldn't need to lay around for a couple days before use.
Dane Nichols , yep! When in a pinch or fixing binding damage on an existing guitar this is a good procedure to know. If on a new build I would most likely hold off for a new piece of binding, especially if it’s a consigned build.
