I don't know. I mean, I do get what you're saying and agree, however for me it was just too unclear what was happening. The description helped a bit, but I still have too many glaring questions for my taste. Also, perhaps those people "whining" are only joking.

People complaining.... This is why it's called animation *WORSHOP* it's not nearly as well preapared as cinematics like new dawn or the others but this doesn't make it bad nor easy, it's really well made and as a community we'd better appreciate her free hard work instead of bitch about stuff that we can't even dream of making on our own

Seriously though this is quite amazing for a single person to make, Glen probably took 2 weeks to create some mind you take way longer maybe months just to make 1 min of animation alone from scratch this animatic which would be like a behind the scenes development teaser for a movie.

I like to add on the fact that the drawings here cannot be labeled as bad or good since the thing about animation is that its not about singular drawings its about how those drawings contribute to the overall movement and then of course ultimately the illusion of life... the drawings displayed and showcased here can be attributed to gesture...that is something that captures the feel of the pose the raw emotion of it....the roughness mirrors the emotion and the emphasis to where the audience should look(or as a magician would call it directing the audience) and of course the character..and as for the animation being choppy....well actually if you would speed the video up to 2x its not choppy at all which means that the rhythm and flow is intact just that in real time that is 1x its missing the break downs and in betweens....i would also ask people who do read this huge ass post to marvel at how with just a few rough drawings the animator was able to achieve the atheistic of the character , story and ofcourse the game which is insane oh and the 2d effects were created by HAND BTW no post production

I came here because I watched the LAS version and the comment section was freaking cancer. THIS GUY IS A LIVING LEGEND AND EVERYTHING HE DOES IS HAND-DRAWN. (Sry english not that good). actually 1,5X is the correct speed, music and sounds fit better, and the animation doesn't overcome normal movement like in 2X (you miss some details you get with the normal speed though :)

I liked this one (Lux) the most. It got a really nice eye for camera work and was epic without fighting or a deep narrator voice. Also I love the art style.

3D animation takes just as much effort as 2D, plus you can get away with a lot more in 2D than 3D. you still need the proxy/ story board which can be a mix of animatics like this, pictures, and rough 3D animation. It's such a long process, applause to anyone who manages any form of animation

Mages are extremely rare in Demacia because they've spent hundreds of years removing them from their society. Lux Crownguard is part of a very high noble family so it would be a huge scandal for them.
