Not a woodland wild camp. I set out to wild camp in pine forest however, I couldn't find a suitable place to camp. So keep heading upwards - to the top.
Hi Adam. Yes. Just watched you working it out. Like you say, once it's all dialed in, it's a breeze to pitch. I bought extra guy line and mini karabiners, plus more stakes. I have the inner attached by mini karabiner, plus, spare guy lines with mini karabiners should I need them in high winds. It's a great tent in heavy weather. I also strung a line from the top zip to the bottom zip, which is almost tight when they are closed - it helps with unzipping in the morning when your bones won't move. Good luck. Jim ⛺👍
@@BoredManOutdoors I've had a little play about with it adding extra peg out points and guylines. I added a bit of length to the bottom zip so we will see if I can reach that ok!
Currently obsessing over that tent. For the last 3 months, I've been camping out at least one of two nights a week. Having not camped since being in scouts (a very long time ago). My most recent purchase was a Slumit Inca 1, which I think is a great tent for the price and literally pitches in seconds. However, I really like the air inside this Lux tent, with the cosy inner. I also like the faff of the ties (having started to experiment with DD tarps). Not only that, obsessing over this tent led me to your channel and I loved this video. So I've now subbed 👍
Well thank you very much. I have it set up so it pitches in one and without much fuss. Still quite a lot of strings and lines - bit like an octopus fight. It is very comfortable though and does offer loads of space. Probably don't use the available vestibule space properly and would love a little extra height to sit on a small stool/chair or something like that. 👌😎 Thank you.
Hello Jim! After watching quite a few of your videos! I find them really interesting informative & funny! Keep up the good work can’t wait to see more!! Eric
The modification with the carabiners is awesome, and yes, it adds some extra space. The tent is good, had to set it up three times to feel confident with the process. The first time I had a very hard time.. But if you manage to set it up properly then you feel happy with the result.
That's a brilliant spot you found for yourself. I loved the timelapse in the morning That's definitely something I should start to do more of. Good that you're now back out there. It's easy for life to get in the way as you mentioned right at the beginning. JP
Thank you for your message. 👍. It was a much needed camp which exercised the legs, lungs and head.. Motivated form the next outing now - on the bike... 🚲👍
Get it all nice and tight, slowly remove the lines from the inner to the fly and replace them with shock cord.. Goes up nice and tight - first time - every time 😉
Good video Mr B views are fantastic even with the rain how was the Expedition Meal have you had better if so which one,s oh and happy birthday to your sister :) . atb .
Thanks for message. The meal was ok and certainly the first few mouthfuls were very welcome and tasty - but, it was the thousand calorie version and became too much for me and started to become a little stodgy - I didn't complete it. I do like the decathlon meals. About the right size and tasty enough, just need a few more recipes. 👍
Cheers Cyrilharssig27. Aye, a six footer would get it reasonably comfortably. May need a little tweaking to reduce sag at both ends, however if pitched well, it's not too bad. I'm 5' 10". I usually store stuff behind me at the head end rather than at my side. 👍
