Picky customers make the best reviews! A nice item has a 4D experience - how it looks, sounds, smells, feels... May sound silly, but some designers spend a long time perfecting the click of a closure etc, so you're absolutely right for returning items that squeak or feel... off!
It's always so useful to hear what bags don't work for other people and why because things often arise that I wouldn't have otherwise considered. Sad to hear the D&G Sicily didn't work out for you! It's gorgeous but a luxury bag shouldn't feel cheap so you probably made the right call.

Then go into the store and am like, no lol. I returned the monogram Neverfull GM and exchanged it for the Neverfull MM DE. I liked it but found it would be too big for everday use. And damier ebene is also much more worry free. I also returned the azur Noe GM to fashionphile. I now have it in monogram. I also returned another LV tote to fashionphile before i got the neverfull.
