Luxury Homes Abandoned in the Desert near Kingman, Arizona

You won't believe this! Spread across 5000 acres in the southeastern part of Kingman, Arizona are a number of luxury homes that were abandoned in the desert. No one ever lived in these houses. This would have been a beautiful community surrounded by mountain views. So what happened, why are these huge homes just sitting in the desert to decay? Watch this video to hear the sad story of what happened to the sub-division known as Silverado near Kingman AZ, now a modern day ghost town in Arizona.

Was water, sewage, and power brought to these houses? If so, it might be possible to still turn this around as middle income housing, if a big employer set up a headquarters nearby.

Nearly 40,000 people live in Kingman, so not quite "literally." Page, AZ on the other hand is literally in the middle of nowhere!

@@RoadTripTravel Not, it's quite literally, in the middle of nowhere. No international airports, not a major city, 100 miles from Vegas, 200 miles from Phoenix, it's literally in the boonies.

When I was paroled to Kingman it was still the method capital of the state. Exsplanes the vandalism.

Why? I think these may have been spec homes and they never got sold because the market tanked.

great video, so does this area still look this way in 2024? i live in Bakersfield ca, about 300 miles or 290 from Kingman az, and we go to laughlin nv once a year, and that area your in is only about 45 min to an hour from there,and we would like to go see it if its still looking like it did in your video thanks so much!
