I am SO extremely THANKFUL that you decided to talk about D&G! I’ve listened to another content creator not understand the problem with welcoming D&G back into consumers’ good graces and it’s truly appalling because D&G doesn’t feel remorseful for their actions, the brands hasn’t changed and it just expects people to simply forget and move on. It’s shameful! Other brands have definitely made mistakes but it’s how you handle those mistakes afterward that separates a label by leaps and bounds… Also, I totally agree with your other points, particularly the brand collabs. They keep hitting us with the limited edition merch and one day we are going to have closets full of memorabilia and nothing to actually wear. 🤦🏽‍♀️

This is why we love Cassie! .. even though she says think twice or avoid, she’s leaving wiggle room for options. Don’t dive in, let’s wait and observe to see how the piece holds up. I personally do not support D&G, but I am sure they will come back. Chanel, Hugo Boss, etc. have shaken off their WWII history and even Abercrombie and VS are coming back, after changing their direction. D&G would be nothing without its directors, so I think that’s the reason why they did not leave. Also, the target group of D&G is not one that necessarily cares about the brand’s actions (this is my observation in several European countries). Plus, much of the criticism of the brand was from countries like US and UK, etc. Italy, France or the rest of Europe? Sadly not so much. And that whole Kravis wedding thing was just genius from a marketing point of view…

Agree with pretty much everything- however the Chinese market has been shown to be one brands cannot afford to lose. Chinese consumers between ages 20-30 are shown to spend more on luxury on average compared to their Western peers. D&G lost about 1/3 of their global revenue with their scandals and I doubt they will be able to win their Chinese customers back any time soon. From my experience, Chinese mainlanders shame one another for wearing anything D&G

#5 is spot on! even for designer fine jewellery, unless it's their signature design. if you are goin for the stones, go to a local jeweler. pick your favourite stone and get it custom made . non brand bespoke is not as expensive as people might think.

It’s just so weird that the LVMH brands seem to just remake the designs of each other now (the new LV and Celine bag both look like Loewe Puzzle). Hope to see more fresh and ‘original’ designs from these brands!

Applause to you for speaking up about D&G! Most people jumped on the bandwagon of canceling them back in 2018, but fewer and fewer people are sticking to it as D&G try to come back. I'm a believer in second chances, but neither designer seems the least bit remorseful or reflective of what they did.

When Fendace launched I tried to force myself into thinking although the bag you have wasn't entirely my vibe the fomo from not getting a bag would haunt me like the gucci Balenciaga hourglass does. Was ready to check out and closed the browser window lol. In general ballet flats trigger me cuz I wore them so much at work it caused my ligament to pop but those Miu Miu flats give toddlers and tiaras energy and look like there's zero cushion.

I agree about the slouch/point in the LV possibly wearing down. The leather is a stiff type of leather. With softer leather, like with my Loewe Puzzles, there have been no problems with wear and tear. They still look like new. Great report and I agree with the comments on the items that you have discussed. As for D&G, I never had to drop the brand as I never supported the brand in the first place. LOL! Yes! AND a huge benefit with Swarovski is their higher quality metal. They disclose what the chain or ring or stud is, unlike some luxury brands and their “er, it’s metal” fashion/costume jewelry.

I totally agree about Dolce and Gabbana! I truly love a lot of the designs and prints they come out with but, morally, I can never bring myself to give them my money. Your point about the creative directors (aka the problematic duo) still being at the helm of the brand exactly nails this. When these individuals acknowledge what they've done and make changes, or depart from the brand entirely, then I'll give D&G another look. Also what do you think about Louboutin sneakers? I find that their heels don't bring the same excitement but I'm drawn to their sneakers. To me, it's a refreshing take on red bottom shoes that's rarer, especially for women.

Great video, all point so make are so different from each other! I have to admit, I did buy two D&G dresses this year. I was not aware of these very disturbing comments the directors made (I live in the Netherlands, designer fashion is not really big here). I will not buy any more stuff from them, even though I really like their rose and other floral prints. The dresses also fit my curvy shape better than other designer brands, so from that point I'm sad to see them go. Looking forward to your next video!

Thanks Cass for the informative video. Absolutely agree with you on DG. First I can’t stand their designs is not my cup of tea, and to top it all a murky past, definitely will never support. With CL red bottoms I only own a pair of pool slides and a low heel boots. Louboutins is not a brand of shoes I do like. Totally agree with your options. As consumers it is important for us to be better informed before investing on a brand. I have made some mistakes in the past however I’ve learned from those mistakes. Thanks Cass for bringing to light all the ins and outs of these brands!!

I’ve been eyeing a green one but like that of the bag with the pointed edges I was worried about cracking. About th LV bag: I have a classic canvas speedy folded up in my closet for years (folded the way it is folded when sold) and it still looks great. However, with all these quality issues today, let’s see how this new style will wear… but its a super beauty-plus, has a WIDE strap🧡-and I think will suit you loaaads. Kisses to my Cassie 😗😗

At this point I’m avoiding impulse purchase’s . I think twice before I buy certain designer brands the quality decrease in value, things are not the same with the quality of the product like before. But nevertheless I love good quality clothing 🥰🥰🥰.
