Hi Patricia! Unfortunately there is not. Finding a home with a basement out here is pretty rare. For some reason they don’t build homes with basements…

Most homes in texas don't have basements due to the water table being higher than a lot of other areas in the country as well as the high clay content in the soil. The high water table makes it more likely for the basement to flood and the high clay content means the soil will expand more when it rains and over time with all of cycles of expanding and contracting with the rain it can cause cracks in the wall of the basement. Both of these put together make it impractical to build basements in most areas of the state. Also the reason basements are more common up north is because builders need to dig pipes below the frost point of the soil and if they're gonna dig that deep anyways they might as well put a basement. The warmer weather in texas makes it so that it's not necessary to dig that deep since there's less of a risk for freezing so builders are less inclined dig deep to build basements in texas.
