I like small butlers pantrys but would use it more for storage of crock pots, baking sheets, and dog food than a place to prep. Although i do love a 2nd sink!

A butlers pantry was where the family silver was kept. Only the butler had the keys. These days we call butler's pantries a place where we tend to keep a bit of all sorts,from food storage to plates and so much more.

Thank you for the video. I am converting my unused dining room into a butler’s pantry. We are empty nesters who love to cook and our kitchen does not provide ample storage. Instead of trying to remodel our kitchen we are going to extend the look into the dining room ( which is tucked away behind the kitchen). It’s a lot cheaper than moving !

I am currently trying to design my pantry/butlers pantry now we are about to build. I have the dimensions now trying to decide the lay out.

WHAT A WASTE OF 9 MINUTES

Take a moment. A butler's pantry is not presently an intuitive design concept. But it can be, and should be one. Doing a glossy, better homes magazine format vid is not the way to make it intuitive. Your presentation was but eye candy. It had no usable content. It was just another full-color hype magazine at the supermarket checkout stand. Why don't you remove and replace it with something a little more design-oriented for "the rest of us." Something definitely better than this glossed-over, coffee table book look at rich folk's, picture perfect pantries. We know that you can do better than this!!!
