Baccarat 540 was the perfume I purchased for myself for my wedding. It is the fragrance I associate with such a lovely day surrounded by my family. It is stunning. Complex but not in a pretentious old lady way. More of a sitting in your bridal suite surrounded by fresh flowers way...it is timeless, day, night, formal and casual. It is delightful.

I love this video so much. I love that you associate colors with the scents. I’ve been wearing Jo Malone Wild Fig & Cassis every day since 2002. I bought it at Barney’s after on my first big NYC gig. It’s so sentimental to me and I don’t feel complete without it! To me, it smells like a deep aubergine color with a green shift. 💕

JM English oak and redcurrant is my go to for winter, I ADORE orange blossom for its citrussy warmth. I agree english pear and freesia works very well as a candle, perfect for spring

Michelle, you did such a wonderful job of explaining the fragrances, not easy to do but I think you nailed it. May I suggest trying to layer the Jo Malone Orange Blossom which I am not a fan of on its own but layering it with other Jo Malone fragrances really changes it, play with it. Michele, loved seeing your collection! I love that you listed all the notes for each one. I have been getting into fragrances since covid too I think it’s been uplifting and helps during times being in lockdown and not being able to get out and smell things like nature, flowers, etc. I think that’s why I started getting into it more and now it’s become another thing to start collecting. Btw, Michele, I'm learning to make scented candles. The wax changes a lot the perfume/essence notes we add to it, it's very tricky. That's why the perfume is a bit different from the candle scent.

Such a wonderful, extensive, eclectic collection, some of the bottles are works of art! I do believe that our hormones can, temporarily, change a scent. I also think that the tones are similar to adding herbs and spices to cooking. Some herbs I don't like at all but if they're blended with other herbs, then they're delicious - just like perfumes. Wayyyyyyy back in the day, my perfume collection consisted of two scents - Dior Poison and Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche - one for daytime and the other for evenings. And "seasonal" scents hadn't reached my ears! How things have changed, 😊💞💜💞

I don't know that I've encountered another content creator who describes fragrance as well as you do - this was such a pleasure to watch and I'm looking forward to digging deeper into some of the brands you mentioned that weren't as familiar to me. Based on what you described liking, you may want to give Floraiku's First Dream of the Year a try - it is a citrusy fragrance that smells wonderful; when I wear it I feel like I smell like clean white sheets blowing on the line in the summer: fresh, crisp and lovely.

My best fragrance discoveries last year were almost all Maison Christian Dior scents (e.g. Ballade Sauvage, First Look) and Sundance from Byredo (a great summer scent that just makes happy)! The Byredo Pulp sounds amazing! I have to try this!

I bought the Goutal La Violette in your recommendation and I love it! I started my love of violet with it. Highly recommend Eric Butterbaugh Fragile Violet (if you can find it). I have the same exact feelings about the Jo Malone Orange Blossom, but I wear it because my fiancé likes it. Also recommend the Chanel Gabrielle, but I like a powdery scent.

I love how you are so true about your comment. You say when it isnt your favorite smell. Ive been watchin videos and everybody r sayin how excited and love the smell. Then i read it was given to them as a gift from the company itself which it made stop me from watching further more.
