I’ve never tried saddle soap before but now I feel like I could. I really like how you explain things as you are going through it. Looks like a lot of the stains got lighter and some even went away. Thank you for this

I am here not because of a purse but because I got a 1960 Abercrombie & Fitch dimitri Omersa rhinoceros foot stool that has to be cleaned and conditioned & thanks for the tips!

Why not show pic of the bag once it is completely dry? Also, did you wait for the bag to dry before adding a conditioner?

Yes, condition when dry. The purpose was the show how to clean it safely. I will make a before an after part 2 for a before and after. 🦋

Thank you! No I had no issues with scratched leather. As for the hardware question, I supposed that's possible with rust.

Hi! Question. I’m doing this tomorrow. Have seen some videos where people use baby wipes (no alcohol) and saddle soap. Would you say that process is equally safe?

I've seen those too. I 've never tried it so I can't say for sure but in theory it sounds hydrating and soothing to the leather.

Hello, I tried removing the spots with the apple conditioner on the vachetta leather and it worked. However now the area is a bit grey and the texture feels slightly rough (there’s no sheen either). Does anyone know if it’ll go back to the tanned color like before?

Vachetta darkens over time so yes! I would recommend polishing and moisturizing.

I saw a video where they put a leather purse in a sink filled with water and dish soap. Do you know if that would actually ruin a purse? I always thought we can't get leather wet
