THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! As someone who also has PCOS and has experienced thinning hair--i'm talking clumps that come out every shower and shedding throughout the day, every day--I was desperate to find something to help me feel a bit better about my hair. So glad I finally found this video. Thank you
Aw I totally feel you about the clumps coming out in the shower and shedding :/ but I’m glad my video helped and I also recently partnered with a hair extension company called UniWigs and I’m obsessed!! I’ll be posting another video about it soon but I also have a discount code for 20% too if ur interested it’s “Alexis”
I’m dealing with a combo of tellogen effluvium ( lost 30-40 % of hair) and really bad layered cut. Been binge watching hair extension vids all day! Love the 16” length and the color. My hair texture , color and length very similar to yours:)) Thank you! You’re gorgeous too btw 💞
As someone with PCOS and thyroid related hair thinning as well, I really really appreciate you and this video!! I am so insecure about how dry and thin my hair has become and this seems like an amazing and non damaging solution! I was debating between the halo and the regular weft luxy extensions but after I saw your put your halo in I knew that would be the best option for me because of how easy it is. Your hair looks SO gorgeous 💕 thanks for the video!
Hi Alexis, we love this video! Your blend looks so stunning, and you're clearly a master of blending with your shorter style. To kindly let you know, you may totally get your 20" set trimmed by a trusted hairstylist if you're finding the length overwhelming. Thank you for sharing your experience 💗
@@alylizzy the wire doesn’t hurt at all! I barely feel it. I highly doubt it’d break, the wire is very strong but if it did, it comes with a bunch of wires so you have back up or I’m sure if you contacted Luxy hair directly then help since it’s not supposed to break
As someone who's dealing with something similar (I've lost 50% of my hair due to my thyroid) the first few minutes of your video struck a chord with me because I've been going through the same emotions. I just think you should know that you're beautiful and someday, you'll look back at this video and realize you were much more beautiful than you ever gave yourself credit for, and too hard on yourself 💜 I hope you're in a better place health-wise!
I think you are beautiful and you are the one that convinced me to get extensions from luxy hair, thank you for sharing your story and advice, you are beautiful young lady inside and out just the way you are, just know you reach lots people who appreciate just you and I’m truly thankful I was searching for these hair extensions not just to hear your review but to have the gift of hearing your story and your advice was a gift I won’t forget and I wish you lots of health and good days ahead of you so thank you so much🥰
I’m so glad I found your video! I also have PCOS and have lost a lot of hair (and my hair was already fine to begin with 😭). I already ordered halo extensions from Luxy a couple weeks ago, just waiting for them to show up. But this gets me even more excited. I totally relate to how you feel. I even did the tape-in extensions too and took them out for the same reasons! Lol ❤️ thank you for posting this!! They look so great on you!
Hi Alexis, Iv been debating to buy this hair extensions for a while, since my hair is similar to yours. Im going to finally make a purchase thanks to your video☺️💗
Hi! I know this comment is 2yrs old, but I’m looking for Luxy Halo reviews, and saw this video and your comment… I hope it’s ok to ask - did you end up buying? How did you like if so? Thanks 🙏
Hi Alexis, this video was super helpful for me! I've been researching the Halo Hair Extensions for a really long time now and I'm so excited to get one!!
I am dealing with the exact ! same thing same hair loss spots :( it sucks so bad and breaks you knowing you might not ever beable to fix it. :hugs: this video was super helpful thank you for making it and I hope it has gotten better for you
Hi Alexis, thank you for the review. I would like to know if the extension gets all tangled when you wear them. I have some hair extensions that when you wear it, they get tangle and shorten and it's difficult to brush it.
i have literally the exact same hair color and amount of hair as you!! i thought this video was soo helpful. i also have PCOS but i had no idea it had any influence. thank you so much for sharing you are so couragous! do you take any vitamins that you think help with the hair loss?? i been on the hunt for some good ones recently
Thank you I’m glad it was helpful! I take vitamin C and D3 and a bunch of other supplements like Saw Palmetto, Tri-Iodine, DIM Supreme, Vitex, and zinc 30. These were some of what my naturopathic doctor suggested for me but I really haven’t noticed them being super helpful lol
Did you get the halo or the halo volume bundle? Apparently the volume bundle comes with extra pieces for fine hair. I can’t decide which ones I want :p
I'm struggling with post-pill PCOS (symptoms mimicking PCOS caused by stopping hormonal birth control) and I had so much hair loss, it sucks! I'm thinking of getting these for my wedding. Do they feel heavy or itchy at all?
They definitely are not itchy! The 20inch is a little heavy but that’s just because I’m not used to having a lot of hair but it’s not bad. The 16inch is a lot lighter and I forget I’m wearing it sometimes. If you are planning on doing an up-do for your wedding these may not be the best type of extensions but if you plan to wear your hair down they’d be great!
I am thinking about getting these since my hair is super thin, I just was wondering can you style your hair differently with these in like a ponytail or something?
I love the idea of the halo extensions but I’m always so worried about the wire being seen across parted hair. When you first put them in, the wire on the top was very noticeable - do you find that it tends to be obvious in person or does it blend well? TIA!! 😊
I don’t think it is noticeable at all, after you comb over the wire and get any hair that is stuck under it out, you can’t see it. When I tell people I’m wearing extensions they are usually surprised and I show them they wire and they are like “wow I didn’t even see it”!
Maybe the 20 looks long on her because she may have a short torso. I honestly think both look stunning but the 16 inch is probably easier to blend with short hair
How did you get thick hair again after four months, did you do something more than eat varied healthy diet, take supplements, cut your hair every 3-5 months, using hair cure when you showering and taking a medicine to neutralize stress?
Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait for some special reasons as me? How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on hair, how long can it last before it gets worn out, how many tape exensions do I need for short and thin hair when I want long and thick hair, how can I keep it on my hair without it falling off, does it feels natural like our own hair when we wear it, will tape attachment be invisible on short and thin hair, can it make hair worn, how to blow-dry my hair and tape extensions without it being worn if tape extensions have to be blow-dryed every time I wash both my hair and tape extensions and do tape extensions need any other products than just extra tape, remover and another shampoo and conditioner?
I originally got tape extensions because I’ve always had thin shorter hair. The tape ins can last awhile depending on how much heat you put on them and how well you take care of them. They do need to be moved up every few months or weeks depending how fast your hair grows. I had mine in for 5 months and only got them moved up once. I got them done at a salon so she ordered the hair and put them in using special glue so they don’t fall out. If you want it long and thick you will need a lot of hair. It does feel pretty natural except in the shower you have to be very careful while washing your scalp. I didn’t need to style the hair every time I washed them because they dried curly like my natural hair.
But how many times did you take on and off tape extensions and how long did it takes for you to get your old hair back if you really got hairloss, I only tried it once, least seems like still my same hair and I have tried SugarBear Hair Vitamins for three months now and keep going. You can't get your hair longer or thicker anyway if it because your genes and just have to accept that instead of risking to style your hair.
