LVMH's involvement in the Olympic Games is a win-win. They bring in the cash and creativity, making the event a hit, while basking in the spotlight and boosting their brand. It's a perfect match that keeps the games fabulous and unforgettable.

One thing you have to admire about LVMH is their marketing prowess. They mastered the art of convincing consumers to part with months of salary for products that epitomize ‘luxury,’ even when the production costs are relatively low.

@@genesteixemmanuel9450 That little kid has no clue what he's talking about. French billionaires and anyone earning more than €150k/year can pay up to +60% of their income in taxes, so these people really have no culture of pride in doing the "charity" thing. It is also considered vulgar, ostentatious and stupid. They will however, financially support the arts, museums and so on, also for tax purposes. Just like there's no "tipping" culture in France because service IS INCLUDED in the price of the meal, taxpayers assume that they're already paying enough to the State to have to do charity on the side. In addition, you can't legally disinherit your kids ( there's also a 60% tax on what they'll get ) so that's why you won't see french billionaires on the "Giving Pledge" tax write off hoax where they pretend they're going to give 90% of their wealth to charity. People have no idea how taxed this country is. France is a welfare state heavily relying on public money, in 2022 it was 1st¹ out of 38 OECD countries in terms of the tax-to-GDP ratio.

LVMH is not real luxury. They made margin of 2000% on a single item. They use illegal sweatshop in Italy. Nothing sold from LVMH is made in France. Except maybe the clothes from the runway show and haute courure. But we don't know where they take the materials. Shoes are made in Romania and the sole is added in Italy to have the made in Italy label. They mass-produce clothes, the quality decreases and the price increases every six month.

Their gross margin is 68%, net margin is 17% . Big chunk of their cost went into marketing expenses.
@johnalf-yd2uw
@johnalf-yd2uw Месяц назад
@oongkuoksung9756 The whole group, not only the fashion brands, made 68% of margin but on a single fashion item, they make a much bigger profit. The production cost of a Louis Vuitton bag, material and craftsmanship can't be more than 150 euros per bag. This is not only for LVMH, a Chanel bag that cost 1500 euros in 2005, costs now almost 10 000 euros, the price of a good motorbike. And they even reduce the cost of production and decrease the quality of this same bag. The price is as much as people are ready to pay.
@UNKWNDSGNR
