i got one of these units recently and its died after about week.i had just installed it. went out yesterday morning, turned it on and boom, sparks and that lovely smell of very crispy electronics. Dual socket Australian version. found your vid looking for more info on this exact model.

You are not really stressing that inverter out with less than a 100 watt load, but with a constant 60 amp pull from that 20ah battery I'm not sure if the BMS would over heat and switch off at 600 VA. When you say it is a 600 watt inverter it is in fact it is a 600 VA inverter, which is depends on the power factor of the load which is about 80% lower, so more like 500 watts inverter.

I was going to say the same, would have been nice to see an induction load, something like an oil heater or a fridge freezer.

@@hardergamer Good luck on that ? , from my 500/1000va inverter and ignoring that small battery which would never power anywhere near 600 watts , I would say that this 600/1200va inverter idea load is less that 400 watts . I was surprised how much a so called 80 watts fridge freezer takes for the first few seconds over 1500 watt surge .

I connected mine for first time and it went BANG and a flash came out of it! Though listed as from uk, I have to send it back to China say ebay. Dirty trick.

Sorry to hear that. I would probably challenge that with eBay. I had a good seller for the one I purchased. I can reccomend them if you still need to buy one and still wish to try this brand. My one is still going well if it helps at all and is being well used daily.

Hi, I just got one of these, and it works, but the fan runs permanently even with no load on it. I have run it for approximately five hours with no problems other than the fan running constantly.... I was running an 85 watt load on it. It was purchased from Amazon... do you think I should return it for exchange?

Hi, is it placed in a warm/hot place/hot country? And is there enough space behind it where the fan is situated? Mine doesn't come on without any load on it but it doesn't take too long to come on when in use. I would contact the seller and ask their opinion as it is meant to reach a certain temperature before coming on.

@@Jaffabite Hi, thanks for the reply, My unit was in a cool place (about 18 degrees C) with good ventilation, and the fan ran constantly as soon as the AC switch was turned on even with zero load. I contacted the vendor and they said that the unit was designed that way... but the video above disproves that. I have returned the unit, a purchased a different brand (unfortunately modified sine wave) that works as I expect a unit to. As it turns out, all of the equipment I use seems happy with modified sine wave.
