The not noticing what's on the print thing reminds me of my Soufflesong Steampunk Cat JSK. I had it for a good year and while I obviously knew there are cats on it, I somehow missed out on the cats with Pickelhauben for the longest time.

You and Lor have helped boost my confidence with going ahead and starting to build my own lolita wardrobe. I'm going to try making a bunch of things, but I've already been sucked in to staring at brand pieces on lace market when I should be working on my projects. In fact, I'm actually looking at partially bringing lolita fashion into my capstone project as an example on niche aesthetic in opposition to the rather soul-less nature of fast fashion.
I got my first Lolita dress last week and it's short on me too 😂 it goes like 2 or 3 inches above my knees and I'm like 5'5". I don't have any cute blouses for it that's winter safe. I have a blouse but it's boring. I would get sweet Lolita because I love it but my parents think it's too babyish for me :/
Actually, even being a thrall of IW, I own Musee du Chocolat! In Ivory. I'm 5ft nuthin' and it honestly feels short on me even lol I think it's just so relatively short, especially compared to my IW dresses, that even though objectively it's not that short, it **feels** so short! XD

Musee du Chocolat is so short! I'm 5'2" and I usually never have problems, but with that dress, my pettis are too long and I have to roll them so they don't show. TToTT But you're right. It's absolutely worth dealing with the length to wear. It's a lovely print.
