I will never forget when I first heard this song, I was probably about 15 & it resonated with me so much. I was a pretty shy girl & I finally got some "hips" LOL and "welcome to the real world". I'm grateful that I listened to it though, it saved me from SO much. To any young girl reading this just know it's not worth it and you are a ROSE, regardless of what anyone says. God gave you that and he don't miss babygirl!!!
Listening as an adult hits so different. I got chills. It really be treacherous for young girls coming up. When Lala said she praying for em’ like same sis. Hoping all the youngins come up safely and securely. Blessings do come with patience.

@@sspain1 someone they knew came into the studio her boyfriend kool-aid and her were in killed them if I remember I think they were executed they were killed at close range . 14yrs later it's still unsolved no real leads or suspects. What makes the story incredibly sad isn't that she died but that in a way lyfe has always blamed himself. Because they were on tour together and due an argument over money he kicked her off the tour and she died shortly after. He said his self he wished he kept her on the tour because maybe she'd still be here.

This song deserves so much more attention then it got. This is the stuff we need to be teaching our children, not about that life none of us want any one ESPECIALLY our children listening and idolizing that life.

I'm 22 with 3 yr old 2yr old as of December and a 7 month old and this song still hit home .......don't rush ladies it's not worth your mental and physical or emotional state...our parents tell us to wait and not rush for a reason....all in all I do love my kids I wouldn't go back but I wish I would have listened

I was 12 listening to this. I’ll be 30 this year and it hits way different. I got daughters now I’ll definitely be letting them listen to this hopefully get in their mind to get married and have a masters degree first before you let a man take what you can’t get back
My parents never gave me "the talk" growing up and because of that, of course I found out in the worse ways on my own. And those problems still affect me to this very day. PLEASE have that talk with your kids! Don't be afraid! They NEED to hear it from YOU first!
The fact this dropped when I was around 14 or 15 and to listen when I’m 29 just gives me chills. Love this song and will definitely be letting my daughter hear it lol

My mom was nvr around and my dad left when I was like, 5. I looked for attention from any guy and I thought sex was love. Wrong! Just be careful. And the whole drugs and alcohol thing today .. It's not even safe in this generation to party. That really sucks.
