Where I'm from, I see a lot of black women I graduated with in high school and college seeking validation in a man rather than who they are as a woman. I grew up in home where my father wasn't there, and I think that was the best thing for me. My mom took care of all six of her Kids alone and did the best she could. Watching the struggle my mom went through taught me to treat women the way I felt like my mom deserved: She was a Queen, and so are all of you ladies out there who work so hard. :)

it goes both ways, I was commuted to a women for 11 years and faithful through out as I truly loved the women. I worked hard for this women. Not course I was pw but out of respect for what we had n it turns out that she is abusive and ran my heart right into the ground. Starr Williams I feel where you are coming from. I think many women get into bad situations because of low self esteem and low standards and not listening to our intuition. It doesn't take much for us to love hard and some men are users and will take advantage of this. I like this song because it teaches how to protect yourself from those users. I think the same can go for men .... take the time to get to really know the person you are with before throwing all your chips in. Pay attention to people's actions and don't be so quick to get physical with someone before knowing their character and background. I emphasize the physical part because the physical act of sex is really spiritual and you build a bond and connection with anyone you sleep with, whether you realize it or not. There are some great men out here and some great women .... you just got weed out the losers to get to the winners ;-)
