Well at that time 9 shares is worth a lot now.. back then Tesla costed 18 dollars per share.. remember it went up to 1k then it split.. those 9 shares converst more then again it split again so I don't know now how many shares he got

@@Longtack55not for performance. Mary takes in something like 12 mil a year salary plus RSUs or options for taking the company nowhere. A 10-year-old could do that. Any smart investor would want performance based pay, i.e reach this milestone or get nothing. The same pay method should be given to politicians. So many useless ppl on planet earth.

VW already pissed away billions trying to develop suitable software for their EVs. Now, I hear the other German OEMs are going to piss away a few more billion, still trying to do what Tesla has already done. Mary did the typical MBA thing. Borrowing billion$$$ to increase stock dividends and buybacks which, which artificially increases stock price while straddling the company with more debt. They announced a $6B buyback after completing a $10B buyback last year.

I own 2 shares of GM can I sue over Mary's compensation? I don't think she deserves it. Obviously there is not enough oversight from the board on ere pay package the return from the investment don't match her pay.

TAAS will transform the automotive market even more than just the shift to EVs. Within 5 years, give or take, of autonomous hailing and delivery services becoming available, the whole automotive market will collapse. There may be high end sales or fleet sales or some sales in lower population density areas, but for the majority of people living in densely populated suburban or urban areas, TAAS will be so much cheaper and convenient than car ownership that people will simply stop buying cars. The current flap about declining sales or margins completely miss the point.

A friend of mine worked at GM and his brother worked at Chrysler. They’re both retired for 18 years now but they both told me that they used to sit in meetings and talk about how there would be one company that owns everything in 20-30 years. That was 18 years ago. They might be a few years off but not to shabby of an estimate. Let’s see what happens over the next 12 years. 2036 is around the corner and I can’t wait to see how it all played out 😂😂😂😂

GM engineers failed to deliver compelling EVs. They still charge poorly. They have depended on LG the worst battery supplier. Yes tesla uses them and those vehicles are poor too.

Looks like GM will not reach 1 million EVs in North America by the end of 2025! Does anyone know when Tesla will reach 1 million sales in North America? I know they hit roughly 670,000 units sold in the US in 2023..
