I think people mistake the quote "Nobody's perfect", I think people who aren't perceived as perfect just had some downsides that those who don't perceive them as perfect reacted too harshly on. There must be bad, in order for there to be good, who would enjoy sunshine if there was no rain? Change is a good thing, remember that, good or bad, you will grow as a person. Overcome and move on. Be a balanced man/woman.

Nobody would know true beauty when it hit them if there was no pain. If only happiness existed, we would live like robots, with no choice to pick the beautiful or the evil and reap each of their respective consequences.

You can't experience joy without experiencing pain or else you wouldn't know what joy was. :)
