They know. They don't care. He never meant equality. He wanted their votes. His party wanted them dedicated to the Democratic party and never have a choice. It worked and most still don't get it. His speech sounded wonderful. His motives and heart was dark. Very dark.

"I'll have them knee-gers voting Democratic for the next 200 years." -DEMOCRAT president Lyndon B. Johnson, AFTER signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Upon signing the former bill, Johnson reportedly told his aide Bill Moyers that “I think we just delivered the South to the Republican Party for a long time to come.”

I’m sure they’ll make up a reason as to why he said this and they’ll make it okay in their mind lol

@@ashleyroberson4782 Actions speak louder than words. Democratic Party was the Party of Slavery, the Confederacy, the Klan, Jim Crow, Lynchings, Segregation, and fought AGAINST the 13th (Freedom), 14th (Citizenship) and 15th (Right to Vote) for Black Americans. Democrats were AGAINST the 1964 Civil Rights Act (like EVERY Civil Rights Act prior to 1964). Democrats filibustered for 75 days to BLOCK this Bill, and were the Majority of NO Votes on it. But that was then, what about TODAY? For the last 50+ years, GENERATIONAL WELFARE has been the FOUNDATIONAL POLICY of the Democratic Party in regards to Blacks, Minorities and the Poor. Again, actions speak louder than words. Generational Welfare, BY DESIGN has led to EXTREME rates of: Fatherless homes, Single Teen Mothers, School Dropouts, Welfare Dependency, Drug Abuse/Addiction, Gang Activity, Illegal Drug Trade, Crime and UNCONTROLLED VIOLENCE. FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED and FORTY-TWO people were shot in Chicago last year (2021), overwhelmingly Black Victims shot by Black Criminals in a city FULLY CONTROLLED by the Democratic Party for DECADES. That's GENOCIDE, and "IF" the Democratic Party wanted it stopped, they would have STOPPED it. But the TRUTH is, the Democrats RELY on Generational Welfare to CONTROL the Black/Minority/Poor Voting Base. They have WEAPONIZED WELFARE DEPENDENCY to CONTROL the MASSES. That's why the Left is ALWAYS focused on "Racism", and NEVER on what ACTUALLY are the MONUMENTAL ISSUES facing these communities. Because it's easier to POINT the finger at ANYONE else and AGITATE than it would ever be for the Democratic Party to ADMIT to what they have done to these communities, INTENTIONALLY... for DECADES. Democrat Party Elites didn't "Abandon Racism" in 1964, they merely changed tactics from OVERT Racism, to CONTROL through Welfare, and RACISM in the form of CONTROL while PRETENDING to be on the side of the Minorities. That's the TRUTH of it. Actions DO speak louder than Words.

I hate that Selma happen on his watch but remember they had a strong govoner that had clout in Alabama his name George Wallace that actually ran for president and I think either took him off the ballot or tried to which the govoner had that power so for Johnson to be remembered for Selma is unfair because he definitely didn't support Wallace
