Lynels are so cool-looking but annoying to deal with in early-game.

the way to beat this is to dodge all his attacks perfectly and get lots of flurry rushes - this one is actually one of the easy lynels in the game - there are some really hard ones.

Died about 5 times and told myself "Oh I just need the arrows? Screw this!"

I remember when I first started this game. I avoided lynels and guardians. now, after I beat the game, I happily murder them for fun.

The first time I fought this guy, he kicked my ass. As soon as it finished loading, I said fuck it, and snuck around to get the arrows, lmao.

Im horrified by Lynel's, so when a saw that the boss for the DLC was a COLOSSAL LYNEL, I nearly fainted in fear and dispair.

Yeaah, I was shocked when I first got to him. Taking him down was my biggest gaming accomplishment.

"What am I supposed to do?" Well, you can start by not wearing full metal armor and standing in a pool of water against a creature who uses SHOCK ARROWS as their primary weapon.

This guy traumatized me to no end.

I noticed throughout this video you were not targeting or using your shield with the ZL button. You were jumping around and screaming with no direction which was very entertaining to watch.

I have not faced any Lynels yet but here are some tips: 1. DO NOT underestimate a Lynel! They have a SHIT ton of HP and they can do a lot of damage AND chances are 2-5 weapons will break. Have a weapon 20+ to even stand a chance at beating it and have more than 5 just to be on the safe side. 2 handed blades will do more damage but suggest to get a flurry rush and to make it easier, keep the shield out until you get a flurry rush to attack. 2. They have REALLY good aim. If you plan to fight, close the distance or run the other way and avoid puddles cause shock arrows have an AoE in puddles and metallic areas. 3. I have studied them and they look easy to flurry rush but they have surprises like firing fireballs and teleporting. Using Stasis+ will help slow it down. 4. Being the person who defeated the equivalent of 1&1/2 Lynel (Defeated 2 Moldugas), have a lot of food on you and stay on guard.

Quest is to obtain shock arrows... uses shock arrows

This video reminds me of my first playthrough. I died as much as you did, then got the arrows, but things had already became personal at that point, so, I remained there until I got that son of a b**ch killed. Which I did, eventualy, sometime before sunrise... Now I eat savage lynels for breakfasts.

When I saw this lynel for the first time, I just ran around grabbing the arrows, then jumped off the highest peak to safety

When I first beat a Lynel , can’t even describe how good it felt BUT that feeling disappeared right quick cause a blood moon happened AND round two with the four footed nightmare started.

Lynels are so unfair, and that is coming from someone who farms them for fun.

i tried to beat him 14 times then i said to myself "ok i give up being brave and blah blah blah lets just get those arrows"

The first time I've beat this thing I don't know what happened within the first 30 seconds of the fight broke all three of my shields and I somehow managed to activate some kind of super Saiyan God mode because I literally kept dodging all of the attacks and I killed it without being touched

The scary thing is Lynels can teleport to you if they can see you from really far away

I actually killed a blue Lynel in one hit. But I was actually trying to fight it. However, I ended up killing it in one hit with an ancient arrow. That was the first one I ever killed.

I never had that encounter animation... I guess it only shows when that particular Lynel is the very first one you fight. Also, I did though about Narnia also :D

I've played over 100 hours of the game. Killed many guardians. Defeated all divine beasts... but I've never even attempted to kill a lynel lol

after i easily beat my first red lynel in my new file (4-3 years after my first file) i felt so much confidence and went to hyrule castle and got hylian shield lmao

When you mount the lynel you can mash the attack button to attack him multiple times.

They also teleport. and breath fire. so you know.

I never died to him since I avoided doing it when I first got the quest. I already had enough experience to know how to fight something effectively by the time I did do the quest so he got destroyed.

This is the second death montage I've seen with this lynel. I don't get it! I took him down with 4 hearts never dying!

When I first saw him I just went around him and stole shock arrows

4 health bars is nowhere near enough do some shrines or something but don't run with 4 hearts

Where did you hear Muzu say you need to talk to the Lynel, 2. why in the world are you not collecting the shock arrows, that was the whole point of going there 😭, and lastly 3. Honestly the stealth armor in the first village makes the game a lot easier.

When you mount them you can use your stronge st weapon and no damage will be taken from mounting the Lynel.

8:50 by far the funniest moment.

This is why I never did this immediately after the Great Plateau and why I waited until I had a shockproof Rubber Armor set and a couple of Ancient Arrows! I don't care if it destroyed the loot too, it's my declaration of war to all Zelda stealth sections!!!

This reminds me of one I first played botw because divine beast vah Ruta was the first one I faced and I remember dying so many times and than at the end I just snuck past him and got all the arrows.

To be honest, after you get tons of good weapons and shields, bows, armor, ect, you will find these guys super fun to kill! :)

I didn’t need the Title to know what was going on after I saw you only had 4 hearts

If you talk to other people in Zora's domain, they warn you about the Lynel in Ploymus Mountain

If only you knew you weren't supposed to fight him this early in the game.

I know that feel, but the first encounter for me was a silver lynel. For anybody struggling, the way I fight them is: 1. Stay in an open area 2. Never lose sight, keep your shield out 3. Dodge to the left when they charge, backflip when they swing while standing still 4. Stasis them when their face is exposed, then shoot with an arrow to get them stunned 5. If you can stun them without stasis, there is an opportunity to mount and attack them 6. If you get good at dodging, I found out you can mount a lynel mid charge 7. Never run away. If you don't want to fight, load a save or use a stealth potion to sneak away (Lynels have good hearing, so running catches their attention.)

One of the most satisfying feelings in this game for me was when I hid for my life fighting this lynel, I came back later with the master sword and killed it.

Tips for anyone new trying to beat it: They aren't that difficult to beat, but your gear and dodges aren't up to parr yet so here's what you do, go around the outskirts of the hill without him noticing, go to trees and get the arrows, save, move onto the next tree save and repeat. If he kills you no worries you saved 👍

I struggled so much with this lynel, two days ago I wrecked the shit out of the silver lynels in hyrule castle :') proudest moment of my entire playthrough.

I bet this makes for an entertaining Hero's Path.

You know incidentally if you bring 20 Shock Arrows from the outside(either Gerudo or Tarrey Town), you can skip this entire quest and skip straight to the Divine Beast! May be a bit expensive but it can't be more expensive than the therapy bills you'll have to pay to help you get over the stress of dealing with this quest!!!

I have 14 hearts and I still die to the lynel

This boss was harder for me than the final boss

I had trouble with the lynel the first time I saw it but now I got better at killing them and ther is a way for them to not attack you all you need is to find kilton at night on the other side of death mountain and look look for the the tall rocky pillars and you will see light once you make your way there talk to kilton and he will disappear but don't worry he will say he will appear in main towns or villages at night and all you need to do is kill all the divine beasts and his wares will be full and you will see monster masks and you will need monster parts for mon because that is the only thing he will accept just sell it to him and once you get enough mon you will be able to buy monster masks wear them and the monster will not attack you but if you do they will attack you and their other allies who are not them but the lynels are different even if you wear the mask in 30 seconds they will figure out it is you but don't worry if they do they will let out a roar once they get a better look at you I hope this helps bye
