Lynxmotion Rover robot 

Thank you for this video. Quite inspiring. Just realized that this is about 9 years old, but very relevant.

That is a very complete robot. It's the robot that I would like to build! Thanks for posting.

Thanks for appreciation, lynxmotion project was really a great way to learn lot of new skills form PCB design, through microcontrolers programing and wireless communications...to visual basic object oriented programming. I used AL5C arm but not servo controller was not from lynxmotion, I used antoher one It works fine, it is great for educational purposes but mechanics is not rigid enought to do some special research including kinematics, loosness in construcion are the main poblem.

@robo1340 Thanks, electrical braking it s based on encoder signals, there are two encoders, one for each back wheel, procesor counts basic impulses from one channel - speed information and also analyse shift between two encoder channels - direction. The rest of work is done by clasic PI speed controller, sampling period is aprox 7ms

Cool :) I want one. Funny how they use old skool Traxxas Stampede wheels and tires.

Love the rover! What are your thoughts on the Lynxmotion arm - ease of programming, build qualityetc, as I'm considering purchasing one myself. There's quite a few variations of the AL5 arm (SCC32, Bot Borduino), which did you go for? Again, awesome rover, thanks for sharing :)

What lighting system did you use

Robot is controled by Atmega128, code is written in C and PC interface is written in Visual Basic and I developed it especially for this robot, it is not like universal program for controling different kind of robots

which software is used for controlling robot??

I was looking for a robot really like yours for fun. I woul like to by something pre-assembled robot or something easy to assemble machine like yours but not too complicate to be programmed. where can I ? Can you operate your robot with a remote control like PS/3 pad or r/c helicopter ? Would I be able to make sample servo-programming and general setting with my iMac ? Where can I buy every pieces of your robot ? do you sell it ? From now thank a lot if you answer to every my questions.

How did you do the analog video transmission to your computer? What camera did you use?
