Welcome to Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird w/ lyrics! A very popular song, it's old but gold! One of my personal favorites!
NOTE: If you DON'T like the annotations, then TURN them off! It's not difficult. Please refrain from telling everyone you did so, honestly no one cares here. Just listen for the song!
Feel free to rock out loud or do air guitar. :) Yes, I do have duct tape in case you BREAK your air guitar... The struggle is real...
I made this video about this song with my brother when we shared this RU-vid account when we were 15. Obviously, there's multiple misspellings, confusing grammar and odd annotations. I am aware of these, but I'm leaving the annotations in since they remind me of the "simpler" life. :)

To everyone enjoying the song and the awkward, silly, demented and maybe slightly poor taste annotations, rock on! It's fun to hop on here every 8 or so months, to remember life at a more simpler time. If the annotations really bother you, you have every right to turn them off. I keep them on, because... Well... I miss my brother. He passed away this past October. It's one of the few things him and I worked on together, so I'd like to have our silly/stupid humor remain on the video. My dad passed away when was very little. Lynyrd Skynyrd was his favorite band so when ever I hear this song I think of him. At first I'm sad and tear up, then after listening to it I feel like he would be "speaking" through the lyrics in a sense. That it was was his time to go and that I shouldn't dwell on his passing. Love all the wonderful memories of the spring in life when this song came out. Thank you Lord for your many blessings. When I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd In Charlotte, NC back in '74, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to in my life! (They played with ZZ Top at that outdoor concert!)

It's a very........ long time since I've listened to this song, and I must say I am totally and pleasantly surprised by the experience I just had by hearing "Freebird" again! The guitar solo is insanely awesome! May Steve Gaines (Lead Guitarist), Ronnie Van Zant (Vocalist) and Cassie Gaines (Vocalist) all RIP - they are well missed.

I like the demented annotations, and you have outstanding taste! THIS is why the youngsters today who like current music need to understand WE grew up with REAL music. These kinds of songs make me tear up to be honest. I was born in 2000 but wish I was born in '69. I feel like the 80's were such a better time, especially where I live, in the south. Everyone was more friendly, political correctness wasnt a huge fucking deal, cops werent assholes, and you could ride your bike to your friends house 3 miles away in the dark without getting mugged and/or shot. I wish it was back then. :'(
