Hello, I just picked up a tr-55 myself (and it's my first tapemachine).... Mine has the AEG hubs for use with bobbies. But I can't figure out which pancake/Plate I need for that. So i thought to go the detour over the trident standard and I see the one next to the one playing hast the same hubs as mine but with a trident base. Can you maybe tell me which adapters/hubs I could use for my new friend? Is there a sepcific height they need to have or so? Hope, my questions are not too stupid. I usually make music but recently got into the idea of recording on tape and here I am figuring out stuff about one of the rarest manufacturers for those high end things :D Would be glad to hear from you. best from Vienna
Hi Patrick, the tr55 has the possibility to use all the 3 different standard but they must be the originals one made for this machine… I’ve never see the AEG ones and I didn’t have the plates for the pancakes but I guess they are specifically made for this model… if you send me you email address I’ll send you some photos of all my adapters, but they are all custom made for lyrec machines… I don’t know if I answered you questions but if not feel free to ask me, best Alex
@@ilfafioccaro417 Hey Alex, I thought already, that one needs the original ones. My AEG Adapters look pretty good still but the pancakes are gone :/ Still some photos would be amazing. Maybe that helps. And if by any chance you could measure the heights of the adapters that would also be nice. surely I can get them custom made in a metal shop then.
Hi Patrick, I’ve seen on Lyrec group on Facebook you write a comment, is it you? If yes I’ve seen you have a copy of manual and schematic, would you make a copy for me? Of course paying for them, thanks for let me know, best Alex
