Mättenberg 3104 mASL located nearby Grindelwald is a nice mountain with perfect view, not too difficult for hike and fly in good weather though. Small stones on the summit, but with space. Alternative launch on a snow field facing north (not shown in this video).
I was there 14. July 2019 without too much route preparation, but managed with some extra time / 5 hours / 2150 vertical meters. The video shows parts of the ascent and nearly all the flying descent.
I was starting at Grindelwald Grund following the track to Bäregghütte at 1775 mASL, a nice and easy walk. Could't really find the obvious track from there, not a overcrowded mountain..., so I was following my own route to the summit, alone that day. Speedflying back to Grindelwald Grund. Amazing nature and a great descent in just 4 minutes. Recommended.
