This song is so perfect. The melody that Thomas wrote is so beautiful. Btw he is youngest in the group. Dami said this song is one the their best songs and the most underrated.

He actually ended the song( a few seconds after you paused) with " Ma c'hai solo vent'anni" meaning " But you're only twenty years old" , which I find beautiful. " You'll be somebody if you stay different from others....but you're only 20 years old" A letter to the youth...we have all this expectations and weight put on us, all these worries about being someone , making an impact , doing all those things we want, about just surviving ......but we are only young , why should we have everything figured out? Damiano is actually a good guy, besides what people might think about them. They just play the role of rockstar in public for show and art. But their personalities in private life don’t fit at all into the typical rockers stereotype of sex drugs and rock’n’roll. They are true musicians and lyricists.
They started out performing on the streets of Rome and have only had this fame for one year. They have some great early videos of covers like Back to Black, Somebody told me and Ragamuffin by Selah Sue.
Being italian and having been 20 a lot of time ago... i find this song almost still working doing a (very) little re-interpretation of the "i'm just 20 years old" part that can be read "i've got only 20 years (more to live)". It does work as the literal translation is "I have only 20 years"
Måneskin is not only Damiano. All four ot them are brilliant and very talented. Maybe noone would listen to his lyrics if they weren't a band and Damiano had nobody to write the music for his lyrics...
they are all excellent musicians, but (correct me if I am wrong) Damiano writes the songs no? and to me, they are so powerful and brilliant, that I have to give HIM the credit for that...if its only him writing that is!, then I am wrong.
@@ReactionsbyD Damiano writes the lyrics for their songs. The others (especially Thomas, as far as I know) write the music. And they are all very talented on their instruments, inclusive Damiano on the vocals. In your reactions it sounds like only Damiano is great, but I wanted to point out that their music is great because all of them put their work and talent into the songs.
