It is a true story, the singer, Damiano, wrote it in memory of a friend, Coraline (invented name) abused by her father. In the end when he speaks of a castle with thick walls he means the cemetery, where nothing can affect Coraline anymore.

It's actually Damiano the lyricist of the band. He said that an interview here in Italy and at Eurovision when "Zitti e Buoni" won the award for best lyrics. The other members write the music and they arrange all the songs together. Very talented, all of them.

First let me say that we are absolutely shocked to discover that you are not actually naked and that you wear the shorts! We expect a lot more from you! Moreover, the sea is the symbol of interiority, in this case the meaning is that she seeks connection with her emotions but she's afraid of it despite the fact that she is potentially capable to do it. The song is about a true story and the girl actually died.

Some believe the castle mentioned at the end to be an asylum. Damiano has said that the story of this song is not a "damsel in distress saved by a knight in shining armor", it actually has a bad end... Just like life sometimes. Frontman Damiano's girlfriend is an influencer&activist and she is really open about her Endometriosis which causes extreme body pain..she said that sometimes she isn't able to do easy daily tasks because of it. And she also talked about since endometriosis is pretty hard to diagnose people didn't believe her for years and assumed she was lying about her pain. She has a Caroline tattoo that has been done after the song and Damiano said the song is about someone he knows. After reading this comment please go back to reading the lyrics.
