The thing with Beggin, is that Måneskin originally recorded the song right after coming out of X-factor. They were just teenagers, and given the opportunity to record two of their own songs, as well as a bunch of the covers they did on X-factor. Beggin was never a single, and just a song people liked them playing, but they mostly ignored it and stopped playing it as they got more of their own songs. they in fact released two albums, won Sanremo, won Eurovision, and then beyond any and all of their expectations Beggin went viral, because people went looking into their back catalogue after their victory at Eurovision. They tried to ignore it, focusing on their own original songs, esp. 'I wanna be your slave', which is why Beggin never actually got a music video of it's own. But of course they couldn't ignore just how well this old covers of theirs did. so when it gave them a chance for a breakthrough in the US, they of course played it at the AMA's and at talk shows when asked to do so. (fandom of course has a love hate relationship with the song, because it is a cover, even if they still love hearing it played live) Tom Morello met with them after one of their US shows (not sure if it was in LA or NY, but regardless...) And they played together a few times, when Thomas (Raggi) came up with the riff for Gossip, and they wrote it together. I've got tickets for Rock Werchter, Belgium's biggest rock festival this year, and I can't help but hope, after hearing that on the day Måneskin are headlining, Tom Morello is playing with his own band as well, that well... he might join them on stage for Gossip... Not counting on it, but it would be soooo cool..
Oohh boy, 5 seconds into this and I heard my 16 yr old daughter SHRIEK from the other room. 😂 In she came .. with wide eyes and a massive grin. Wearing her Måneskin tshirt. 😂🤦♀️🤦♀️ We love Måneskin in this house!!!! Oh do we L❤VE Måneskin!!!! We went and saw them last year when they finally made their way over to Australia and my daughter went utterly nuts. I could spot her in the huge crowd, I just had to follow the whirlwind of screaming and waving hands 😂😂 They are an incredible band to see live as well and I love their music. My kids are half Italian so they very much love to support Italia 🇮🇹 🤌🍝 ROCK AND ROLL NEVER DIES 🤘🤘
Thx. The Beggin cover was originally made for their school friends. Gossip is in line with Tom Morello's criticism of society, in this case Europeans watching American (LA) fake stereotypes through a glass window. I really like your enthusiasm about this band. Peace.
You should check out Coraline (Damiano's favorite song, he wrote it when he was only 17 if I'm not mistaken), I love so many of their songs but this one is pure poetry (you can find it on youtube with english subtitles)
You're thinking of Torna a Casa (he was 16). Coraline was when he was already dating Giorgia, since the song was inspired by her. So a few years later.
The fun thing about the end of the music video of Gossip is that as they sing in the song 'they won't be naked', about the others, whereas Må does get naked, aka does show their true self. And then at the end, they show the backstage of the video, how the 'room' is just a barrack, aka breaking the fourth wall

Mäneskin actually started 2017, won Italy X Factor music show. Beggin’ was actually Amy Winehouse original, and at that time they did a lot of covers. I remember thinking, wow, rock beat, the greatest, and Italian language, who knew, right?! Italian works here perfectly as well as with their famous canzone.

Мне кажется, IWBS лучше показывает характер группы, - провокация "на грани", чуть ирония , всегда удачная совместная работа над сценическими "актёрскими" образами🎉 И, естественно, ниболее полно ребята ( и Вик 🤩🏳️🌈!) показывают себя в live performances - выбирайте любое видео ( не так уж много профессиональных записей, но, всё же, есть довольно хороший выбор ❤️🔥!), и , будь то лирическая rock ballad Coralin🥀 или , откровенная 🔞 Bla Bla Bla🌶 , - множество интересных впечатлений гаратировано 💯🔥❗️ Большое спасибо за заинтересованную , внимательную реакцию👏🏻 PEACE ☮️🤍
Beggin is my least favourite thing they've done to be honest - I like the cover that this cover is taken from. Gossip is fabulous - I love Tom Morello's turn with The Struts - Wild Child. Interestingly Maneskin covered a Struts song in the X-factor (Damiano pole dances). And there is a video of The Struts and Maneskin performing a Rolling Stones Cover together in Rome.
