For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope [Jeremiah 29:11]
This World's Collide concert tour was late 2022, a co headlining European tour. This show was Nov 30 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. The Blu-ray/DVD/live album releases on the June 21. Another reaction mentioned Amy is singing lower, I was thinking that was maybe because she is singing Jacoby Shaddix's part. Song isn't that old, 2018, at least not old in their catalog since they formed in 1996, it's the lead single from the 7th album Resist. Tarja's gonna be with them this year? Ooooh, probably doing Paradise (What About Us ) again, hope they film it and post. Never seen them in concert unfortunately, last time they toured the US, opening for Iron Maiden, they didn't come close enough to me. Love this song, but I think my overall favorite is "Ice Queen".
He's calling out Republicans specifically. He said in an interview this has nothing to do with Joe Biden. He said it's about conservatives & Donald Trump in particular. He said that no one of any party who utilized Epstein's Island should be allowed to serve in a political office, hence the reference to look out for minors (not miners as some have postulated), not just minors on an island somewhere, which is actually according to him a condemnation of Trump & his supporters.
ok, party right here. He did say Miners and Minors, literally in the text "I wish politicians would look out for miners And not just minors on an island somewhere" So yes, he is calling out to look our for Miners. Also, it was not politically affiliated to anyone, which I agree with you on because many of the left have occupied that island as well. This was not pointing to one general party or person, just the entity.
Been following them since 2010 ish. Amazing band just saw them live a few weeks ago in Portland Or so good hardly anyone there but they put on a hell of a show.
Yeah they have been going live on Twitch during most of their shows and I love it! I hope to see them live someday. They are still one of my top 3 favorite discoveries this last year.
Ugh, this one. Those dark monsters kept killing me during the concert squence and I probably had heard the tune about 20 times before I finally killed them all and moved past that scene. Very difficult battle rages in the game during that song!
I didn’t pay attention to the lyrics but the song was almost like an emotional or spiritual journal. Not sure I like the singer’s non-metal vocal parts. Don’t dislike them but he’s got such a strong voice in the few songs I’ve heard. Acidentally stumbled across them like a decade ago and listened to their newest album back then. Kind of forgot about them, but now I want to listen some more - thank you for bringing them back to me :)
Hi there and thank you so much. M. Shadows (Singers) is one of my favorites but I dig that raw yet crisp sound he brings in his singing. Funny enough, their most popular album was my least favorite because it had that 'made for radio' sound. It was still good, but their earlier stuff and this last one was great. Although, admittedly, my favorite song from them still is Buried Alive.
Yes, I knew Taylor was Cindy Lou Who. Been a fan of TPR since 'Heaven Knows". Soundgarden was one of her favorite bands growing up. To go from the thrill of opening for an idol, to losing Chris Cornell overnight. Yes "25" is from the most recent 2021 album Death By Rock and Roll. She was 25 when she wrote the song. The album may seen dark, even referencing the '27 club', but Taylor said it is more about wanting to live. Video was one of 3 shot at the same time in NYC during quarantine. YES, check out "Only Love Can Save Me Now" featuring Soundgarden's Matt Cameron and Kim Thayil, also one of the 3 shot. The title track is awesome, it opens with a recording of Kato's footsteps. Also check out "Rock and Roll Heaven". And the one part of FTF's "Masquerade" reminded me of this TPR song.❄
Yo! Thanks so much for the info and checking this one out. I appreciate all the info and background you have on this song. I will check those out for sure and thanks for the support. Cheers, more to come. 🤘🏻 Keep on Rockin' 🤘🏻
that is alot of relatives and they had to go through something for what they wanted/needed and this is just a taste of the new album just says you thought that was cool and it is anyone who lovea anthropology. anthropocene has to do with man's relationship with his environment and the world around him and the effects of those ups and downs
I. Loved. This. Song. and I loved the collaboration!! I want more of this!! Thanks, Dane! And thanks for the classic clip of Chris Farley from Tommy Boy ❤
I began commenting your programs yesterday, I wanted to go back to your first reaction to Tommy. I follow several Tommy's reactors, and I have to say that you are my favourite because you really appreciate his talent. And I agree with you when you say Joakim's voice fits perfectly in Sabaton, he is a great singer and a great frontman Good job! Thanks
Wow!! Thank yo so much, it is wonderful to hear this as people can identify the passion I have for musicians and great music! I am here for it. Cheers.
Great reaction! Dan's performance in this video is mesmerizing! All of his performances are great, whether it's a cover, his original music with Fearless or with Orion's Reign. Dan sang for Orion's Reign (symphonic metal band) for a while and their cover of Thunderstruck by AC DC is EPIC! They also do some fantastic metal Christmas songs.
The allusion is to the October 7 massacre and the hostages held by Gaza terrorists. The original lyrics are called "October Rain" rather than "Hurricane". Search youtube for October Rain
During the 4 years they recorded Divisive, two of the band members' marriages broke down. Drummer Mike Wengren got divorced early in the pandemic and guitarist Dan Donegan went through a split in early 2022. This song is about a disintegrating relationship where each party struggles with letting go. It was inspired by the ending of Donegan's marriage. "That was a really personal one for me," Dan Donegan told Billboard. "During COVID-19, I was going through a divorce after 18 years of marriage. Part of that divorce process is that there was still a great deal of love we have for each other, and we couldn't imagine our lives without each other. Just that letting go, letting somebody go that you still love, but maybe the marriage just might not be working anymore... It was touching on that. It was just very personal." Donegan came up with the concept, then wrote the lyrics with Disturbed singer David Draiman. "I threw a few lines at him, and he took the ball and ran with it." Donegan said. Then Feb 2023 David Draimen also got divorced.
Yeah I was aware of all the relationship fallouts but it is great to know that core of this song! I appreciate you commenting and sharing that information! Thank You! 🤘Keep on Rockin'🤘
My favorite was the MEATLOAF version. It as more intimate, I have never heard Tommy do anything but the best, I am also a SABATON fan, their misic has meat to it !
Who else gets the feeling at the end of the solo when Nuno raises his fist in the air He's pointing to Eddie? I know he say's that noone will ever take Eddie's throne but like it or not Nuno is the Greatest Guitarist there is now...
