Back in 2015 I was a teenager who couldn’t understand the lyrics and thought that the song is boring. Well, it’s 2022 now. I know English, I understand every single word they’re singing, and I think that the song is a freaking masterpiece. I play it on repeat. Thank you Norway 🇳🇴 ❤️ Greetings from Ukraine!
Greetings From Finland! Im sorry Ukraine , because i cant do nothing to help to people in Ukraine and Own Country. Im really sorry. We only need right now to ww3 and attack to... Well all know.
Daft O'clock for christ sake. There were 40 songs. This year had a lot of good songs. It reached top 10. It seems pretty awesome to me. Chill out dude. It's always about the song.
Unfortunately people are fooled by gimmicks and special effects. The swedish song without the cartoons is pretty bland and cynical. When a song needs to hide behind that too stand out, the song isnt good enough. The song that won isn't original, borrowing both from another song and also the cartoon was not their idea. Eurovision song contest is in fact a songwriter competition, not a gimmick competition, so I'm glad Mørland at least won the award for best composition/song in Eurovision 2015.
I have to say: Norway should be extremely proud, this performance and the song is fantastic. Songs of high musical quality such as A Monster Like Me and Grande Amore (Italy) only come by once every 20 year in this competition. This is a new all time Eurovision-favourite of mine!
Bernhardina Hörnstein Your all time favourite?? That's a very good compliment. Personally I liked Adio, A million voices and Rhythm Inside better this year, not to forget Euphoria and Molitva from previous years.
This is why we have the juries. This ranked very low in the televote, but thanks to the juries, this quality song and performance got a respectable 8th place for Norway.
setheurovision94 Agree with you about the Norwegian song but not liking the jury when they manipulate the vote to lower the ranking of songs. No one in their right mind would say that Italy was one of the worst songs in the contest and some juries ranked it below 20th. Juries should vote for quality, like they did with Norway, but never vote for strategic lowering of a song's ranking or personal taste.
I was listening to the stream on the jury final and did not notice such a thing. The press on friday night said Il Volo were the best and everybody tough they were going to do well with the jury voting. With all honesty when Sweden was announced as the winner I was confidant that it was thanks to the public voting. It is a catchy song with a good stage show that impressed me in the Melfest, but after listen a few times just fizzles into a banal pop song. And I thought Il Volo operatic pop number was not mainstream enough to have the public vote, and yes I like classical crossover songs and pop songs with classical intruments. Yet was the other way, very confusing.
But thank goodness we have the full split results by countries. They are a real eye opener. Last year I was impressed how well Conchita done with telephone voting in eastern european countries like Russia and Belarus and how it was the juries that ranked the song low to avoid giving Austria the 12 points. But at least everything is there for us to see and it is the best legacy the Ola Sands will leave after stepping down from His post.
It's a disgrace how the televoting placed this song 17th... Without a doubt one of the most beautiful entries in the contest for a long, long time. I can't find a single flaw with it, stunning performance, spectacular vocals, twisted and insanely good lyrics, instrumental that gives you shivers and an overall arrangement that is just perfect in every single detail. Even though they finished 8th, they really did get robbed...
If i would discover eurovision at that time i would make a lot of accounts to vote this and enough to give more points because at the time the televote was kinda useless
Still standing tall - after all these years! What a song - the lyrics - the melody - the performance ...... it's all so complete .. and boy was it robbed !!!!!!!
I have to say out of most Eurovision songs including winners, this song is one of the most memorable. Beautiful haunting melody. I thought it should have won back then, and I still think it should have won. Timeless classic.
the REAL WINNER no matter what! I'm still angry you didn't win not even top3 but whatever this song is better than the whole show. This is the most amazing song EVER in this show! Congratulations from Portugal (sorry for the 6 points from my country, I voted hard but I guess no one has ears).
jmfpds The portuguese jury gave them the 1st place! Such a shame, public only gave them the 10th place, and because of that, only 6 points from Portugal! My winner too, from Portugal!
They both had perfect voices today , best performance since they arrived. But its a tough contest with many good songs , I am noit sure but hope for top 10
***** It's obviously a joke. She's stunningly beautiful. This song won the Marcel Bezençon Composer Award for the best composition. Who cares what the riffraff think, completely ran by emotions?
One of the most touching moments of any Eurovision *ever* for me, best Norwegian song ever for me and a serious candidate for best song ever. :) Touching, mysterious, incredible instrumental (so much better if the orchestra was there, oh my!) and those lyrics...
This song is powerful. My friends daughter, age 7, started crying like mad saturday night when they were watching. She was so moved by the music and lyrics (her mother translated it's over all meaning). I think it should have been Top 5. Happy for Måns winning but it should had been Italy. They had this grand oldtime latino eurovisionsong vocalexplosion tutti fantastico. And some of us is still succers for that.
The thing that happened to her happened to me too some weeks ago (i discovered eurovision so late and I'm 11) this song is probably the best eurovision song ever
This was one of the best Norwegian Eurovision entries of all time. Perfectly sung, both of them looked great and delivered real emotions. And superb camera work. I was standing near the stage in the crowd, it was an incredible mood when the lights went on. It was a great show in our capital Vienna. Though, I would have preferred Norway or Italy to win.
Honey, I'm telling the truth I did something terrible in my early youth My mind went blank, I lost control I was just a little boy, I did not know I better let you go To find the prince you thought you found in me I better set you free and give you up Just wave and say goodbye and let you live Without a monster like me Honey, what am I to you? I have pulled the trigger on this awful truth Oh, hold me now 'cause I'm burning up Sing me something beautiful, just make it stop I better let you go To find the prince you thought you found in me I better set you free and give you up Just wave and say goodbye and let you live Without a monster like me Oh... oh... Oh... oh... Just go To find the prince you thought you found in me I better set you free and give you up Just wave and say goodbye and let you live Without a monster like me, oh Without a monster like me
Mørland's voice was so emotional, and Debrah, OH SHE GAVE HER BEST PERFORMANCE comparing to those previous performance!!! There staging kept similar with Melodi GRand Prix but changed a little during the last part, and things got even better :) I like this duet so much, and placing 8th was such a sweet result, maybe could be a little bit higher for some people, but at least I'm satisfied with this result :) Thanks to the Norwegian for giving us such a beautiful song... and congratulations to Mørland by winning Marcel Bezençon Awards(best composer)!!
Zaramii I just don't understand. I see lots and lots of Portuguese people loving this song in every video from Norway's 2015 and we just gave them 6 points. Still can't believe it! This should've won!!!!
oh my god, it's incredible..... i fell in love with the song after i heard this amazing "Honeeeey". and it makes me cry... BRILLIANT! Morland deserves this best composer's award
Best lyrics, best vocals, a beatiful, strong and charming perfomance. It's a kind of magic between them, Mørland and Debrah, and us, listeners too. My personal winner this year. I'm in a deep-deep-deep love with that song. Shoutout from Russia!
Breathtaking performance. Can't stop listening! One of my favorite ESC entries to date. Was hoping for a better position for Norway, but even if they didn't end up on top, this song (i hope) will be remembered. :)
WHAT? This song is awesome. Why was Sweden the winner? I don't understand why other songs like Belgium, Estonia, Latvia or NORWAY got less points than Sweden. It's unfair. I like the Swedish's song but... I don't understand.
jesusr19 I guess it's a matter of taste. I thought Sweden was just the best, even without the animations. I just love that song. I agree though that Belgium, Estonia and Latvia (and Norway ofc) were terrific as well, and they were potential winners, but Sweden was just better in my opinion. I guess Mans' song just fits me best.
Sadly I have no memory of even seeing this in 2015. I'm only now watching this in 2023 and it's my favourite Norwegian entry in Eurovision ever! I must've missed it or completely forgotten. Either way I'm glad I checked it out now, it's as good as Ulrikke's Attention but with much better lyrics in my opinion. Love their voices and harmonies.
