It's very specifically about a soldier struggling with PTSD after being deployed overseas, killing innocents, watching the people he trained with die, and going home to drink himself to death because the people back there hate him and he hates himself. He just wanted to protect his family and friends and everyone he cares about, but he was ordered to murder people for oil, and his mind went missing in action. The bridge represents a military funeral. It's sad and beautiful, and the song's message is very important. The presentation is obviously incredible. Thank you for doing this reaction! 🖤

At first you feel some sort of anger against the soldier, but at the end you understand more of his thoughts. This song is a masterpiece.

3:22 about what you said, this song is if I'm not mistaken going through the thoughts or emotions of a soldier in a war, about him trying to justify what he's been told to do so that if he dies he feels like he isn't dying for nothing, or if he lives he isn't living guilty of something, idk if that's exactly what this is all about but it is what I interpreted this as, since if you're in the Army and in a war, you already signed a contract giving the government your life to control, so you would probably have many conflicting emotions and so you would wanna justify what you're doing at least in your own head.

Hi, I'm new around here, greetings ... I recommend a band called Five Finguer Death Punch, they have songs dedicated or that tell about the experiences of the soldiers. I recommend the song "Wrong Side of Heaven." channel was not following them but now I will.
