I love this show, these characters, can't wait for Season 8. Never knew of Martin Clunes before a friend told me to watch the show. Have watched his other work, he's such a fine actor. Loved William and Mary as well.
Brilliant acting but in real life it would be that Louisa is a victim of domestic abuse - stonewalling, avoiding discussion, OCD, ignoring Louisa's needs (emotionally and physcologically) etc. Script needs to be changed with 'domestic abuse' so prominent in public domain now.....
I can’t stand Louisa. She is so disrespectful to Martin in so many ways caused by her lack of confidence. She was left by her mother when she was 12 and her father ended up in prison. Her childhood was not much better than Martin’s.
