This beer is Schön! Very drinkable and with enough taste to keep it interesting. I had a great time with these lagers in Germany and it’s good to see other drinkers here getting into them. Not all beer has to taste like grapefruit, chocolate or a loaf of bread.

Decided to get some after watching your review. I've got to comment on this. I never usually comment but what a fantastic beer. Thank you Germany! A fantastic Helles Lager. Makes me ask the question why did the UK leave the EU when we could learn so much from our European friends. Great review once again. Many thanks 🙏

Love this beer 4 on a deal in my local m&s. Crisp and lovely flavour great German beer style and reminds me of visiting germany and drinking their very nice beer :)

I've just tried this it's really good, better than any of the mass produced glucose syrup laden lagers brewed on license in the UK eg Stella, Heineken, Corona, Cobra... £2.20 for a lager of this quality is amazing value....it tastes like I remember lagers like Kronenbourg tasting in this country 20 years ago. I don't know why the big brewers decided to put sugar in our lager and lower ABVs about 15 years ago...I'll definitely be buying more of these, Aldi also sell some genuine continental lagers as well

Sinking one of these now, only had cans at Lincoln Tritton. I managed to snare the last 4 pack, £5.75 in 330's which ain't dear for a lager this good.

Its such a shame Helles style lager isn't more popular in the uk. Theres far too much pilsner piss being served up & I always gravitate to a Helles beer when possible. Great review mate!

I'll try this one thanks. I bought a bottle of Hofbrau today to try - £3.20 from Morrisons. Undoubtedly a fine beer but not to my taste. Maybe the £2.20 from M&S will trump it.

While I was in M&S yesterday ( 02/24) I tried to find this but they only had it in 4x330ml cans (£6). It's the the least enjoyable German beer I've tried. That's not to say I doubt it's quality, but I found it a bit astringent, which I've never encountered in a Helles lager before.
