please bring a CS mtech student who got selected in IIT Delhi or any other iit or iisc and tell him/her to give some insights of real time questions he / she were asked on this channel. N thanks for the video also
Sir i had not made btech project in my college because there was option for internship or project so i opted for internship at iit indore,so was it wise decision?
Sir I have done my major project in b.tech , but at that time I was careless about it and truely I had not focused seriously on my project. So how can I face it in interview
Hi Nihar, All IITs have some departments which conduct interviews and some which dont. This also changes year by year. so interviews are department specific rather than Institute specific.
@@EdSharpener hello sir...m having interview at iit delhi Energy science dept and research area i have chosen is renewable energy.Pls guide m which topics to prepare 🙏
Hi Sayam, No! Interview is not conducted for every department, rather direct admissions happen more than often. They mostly ask about the Major Projects and your interests in the stream you are interviewing in
Start with the heading "To whomsoever it may concern" This is to confirm/certify that Mr. Xyz has completed abc project under my guidance. And secured (#) grade. They worked diligently and have been instrumental in (scientific output/cost cutting) through (particular effort). I am sure they will do well for further studies such as M-Tech/PhD with their sincere work and team player attitude. Having said this I would like to recommend Mr. Xyz for the (pqr studies) in your department. Sign Contact Just make sure you share this format with the professor and ask them if you can take a signature from them
Sir, I have applied for M.S. in Industrial Engineering in IIT Delhi for winter season and I get it today, I am doing M.S. in Design from IIT Kanpur. So, which one will be better, should I join IIT Delhi M.S. in Industrial Engg by leaving IIT Kanpur M.S. in Design?
The opportunities in both cases are not that different. Very good overall. I would rather suggest you to ask your IIT kanpur peers in design, for future aspects. My opinion is you should go for IITD industrial, only because its Delhi over Kanpur!
@@EdSharpener sir, thank you for your response but one more option to discuss as IIT Madras did not organize the MS interview in summer but they took the application form frm students,so I applied in summer but now they are conducted the interview and eventually I too got selected in MS Mechnaical Design in IIT Madras ( result was declared yesterday). So kindly suggest me by keeping this option too which would be better selection?
@@EdSharpener Can you tell me about IIT Delhi's Department of Material Science and Engineering (Materials Engineering)??about placements?? Or about research work??
I guess i can call you Shadab! So Shadab, your scores are really good! Can you tell me if research interests you more and would you like to go for PhD? Or would you be interested in Job
@@EdSharpener I want to pursue mtech in 1) power electronics 2)VLSI 3) electronics system 4) integrated circuit and system 5) communication engg But I think this branch is difficult to get
Sir My Gate Score In Mechanical Engineering Branch, General Category is 64. Sir is there any chances of getting Mtech from old IITs or IIT Hyderabad Many more queries are there. Where to put my doubts in?
@@EdSharpener Sir, I am also in the same boat, and I want pursue interdisciplinary courses in Energy systems in IITB, IITD or any other IIT, what are my chances.
Hello, Thanks for reaching out, For mathematics, Probability, Differential equations, Linear Algebra, Calculus and Transform theory are objectively important. But the importance varies as you go to a different branch. To prepare these topics, Don't read a lot about these from textbooks, try to solve problems directly and while solving these problems go back to the concept if you don't understand. That really helps.
Hello sir, i m from mechanical 2019 passout and did one year job and then quite job and gave gate 2021. Gate score :354 mech ( gen) Cgpa :8.2/10 Final year project based on design. Sir, Is there any chance for iit in interdisciplinary branch?? Whtether it's new iit or old iit.... Plz sir guide me based on my gate score and where can I apply
There is an interdisciplinary branch called CTARA (center of research for rural areas) something like that in IITB. They might have a low GATE score cutoff 350. (i am not aure for this year though) try to apply there. And through brouchers you will find some more depaetments where you might find low gate cutoff
Hi, English compulsory nahi hoti. You can request them for a Hindi Interview. Interview panel bada hota hai, kuch log hindi mein sawal puchhte hain kuch english mein. But always be ready with english prepared answers, because professor logonko english bolne ki adat jada hoti hai
Hi Harsh, your score is good, although IISc cutoffs go higher. But you might get interview calls. I had received calls for 2-3 branches at a lesser score. But for IISc interviews you need to perform very well in order to topple the lower GATE score than your peers!
Hi Mukund, English is not mandatory. You can always say that you wish to reply in Hindi. Hindi - English dono chalta hai. Even professors bhi hindi mein puchhte hain kabhi kabhi. But not bad if you can speak english well. South India ke residential professors ko samajhana asaan ho jata hai!
Hi Gunjan, you might get calls for MS at different institutes like IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and new IITs. Go for interdisciplinary branches.

Very helpful Can u please help me can i apply for mtech ECE I have 9.58 cgpa in my btech bt i dnt have gate Am i eligible And what is the procedure? please help me out
Hello @syed ayesha while it is very helpful to write GATE and then easy your way into M-Tech admissions. You might want to look up for private College admissions for M-Tech like VIT, these colleges have their own examination/interviews, but I suggest you please attempt next year GATE since your fundamentals look strong!
Thanks for the response Yes i vl apply for the gate this year Bt isnt there any option for mtech in itts without gate Like through interviews or any thing else And if there is any option please tell me and which month
@@zareenaamin9101 Recently there was a policy which allowed Students from colleges like NITs to get into M-Tech in IITs without GATE. But unfortunately IITs don't entertain admission in M-Tech without GATE for other students. If you still want to get into IIT, you can go as a project staff or as an intern by emailing professors. If everything goes good, Professor might ask you to register for M-Tech/PhD. But these are very very rare cases!
@@zareenaamin9101 you can check yourpedia channel also for guidance, they provide daily update about various IIT, IIIT, NIT and their exam other than GATE
