Incredible set, What a first tune - I always wonder why Mick didn't hammer that first tune more like he did the likes of kay cee - escape, gary D, gollum, energy - believer etc... I guess I will never know but I'm happy with that!😁
I've seen posts about mzone's mixing... And yeah maybe run away from him at times but if you was there upstairs at the sanctuary the closeness and interaction paired with tune selection, you wanted to take a breather then boom next tune dropped you'd not ever stop. Top dj for sure. Yeah you had producer and lomas and of course clarkee but m zone was a favorite after 93 94 era finished. Techno trance Gabba was the way forward
I used to think m-zones mixing was naff but when you listen to the tunes in full he's getting mixes in early before long breakdowns etc and keep the set bouncing. Tune selection unreal

I went to this, I couldn't get upstairs to the technodrome for the que! I missed this, heard it for first time on tape after this event. I was gutted, this set would have really made my pill peak.... Fucking live mc. Sharkey voice alongside the best m_zone set I have heard in ages!!! Oh lordy why did I miss this, I paid a whack for me ticket. What an event. Helter skelter you and dreamscape were paving the way after fantazia and such like. Sharkey, ribbz, you guts absolutely complement this tekno. You guys actually improve the experience and work wonders for the Robins and speckled sun's I dropped that summer night of 96.you got m_zone and sharkey in the mix, what a fix I hope you've had you're weetabix. If you ever had a 5 min break from the banging booooming proper Techno and sat down at the back opposite the dj you could actually feel the floor and walls going up n down in and out hahahha loved it . Another dimension man

Helter skelter done boss nights in kinetic first one I went to in Jan 96 was a lockout unfortunately 2 mates never got in we all said if anyone ever never got in we’d all come out let’s just say that didn’t happen sorry barry an pricey 😂
dj manatomic u said mzone couldn't mix OK wasn't the best but he knew how to play the tunes and do it for the reaction of the substance.But you said Fergus was one of the best mixers er no he wasn't great either listen to dj noya great dj
fergus was a great mixer, in another league to mzone BUT mzone produced some great records and they both played tracks that not alot of uk djs played. rush was the best imo. best resident for sure, he never fucked up
