Is the $20 knock off just as good, load tested @ 15amps, 10amps and 5amps to 9.6v.
Most Milwaukee 12v tools shut off at 9.6v.

@@Tools-Tested A good time to get a deal on OEMs is when they release an upgraded battery. Milwaukee released the M12 5.0 high output. The price is crazy high. I just got a pair of the M12 6.0 HC batteries on Ebay $80 delivered. They are genuine Milwaukee factory sealed and eligible for full factory warranty. Home Depot's price for the two batteries is $240 plus tax. While the new 5.0's are high output, they are not 21700 cells and the 6.0's are beating them in both torque and runtime.

Oh wow, that FUTUREBATT WK12 looks like a quality knockoff(lol) battery! I think I'll get it for an extended run pack -since Milwaukee was too cheap to do anything better than 1.5Ah packs in my starter kit.-

In my experience for regular use for household tasks with milwaukee tools duch as M12 drill/driver combo, the m12 tire inflator the battery works fine. They also work fine as a battery bank with the m12 usb adaptor tool for charging up phones and other batteries and usb battery lights in the house just fine. My preference today are the Waitley branded batteries. I think more interesting tests to see today is how well the internal pcbs work to balance cells conpared to active and passive cell balancers available on the market today. Would be surprised to see some interesting results how to keep your cheaper batteries last longer than the milwaukee batteries.

I have about a dozen Waitley 9.0ah M12 batteries that I used at work working on cars full time Technician. I even use the M12 battery adapter so I can use it to power my Evap Smoke Machine with a single Waitley 9.0ah M12 battery. Use it to power my Kayak Brushless motor, Paddle Board Fin Brushless motor, Watersnake T24 trolling motor. Only had one fail in the last 3 years. I have a lot of m12 tools but I m not very hard on my tools I’m just a diy. I find for my needs that the generic batteries are fine. I use them in my hammer drill and my m12 air pump and my m12 vacuum all the time and they work great at a much lower cost.

I have a Milwaukee band saw that is very small which I use for simply cutting through heavier wire when I'm doing a panel change out. I had two 12 volt batteries, and one of them had just died on me, so I went ahead and got two of the cheaper no name brand off of eBay, and they fit rather nicely in they seem to work decently. The way I figure it, I can always have something charged while I'm cutting some things, and I can charge the other items while I'm working. Generally the way that I'm using it, I will have plenty of time to charge two batteries before one of them dies. Thanks for the great video! may Jesus greatly bless you!

I've been using them at work since genuine batteries have an unfortunate tendency to grow legs and walk away. The connection kinda sucks if you're using it on a tool like a plunge cutter. But i mainly run lights off them. Have enough on hand to run my lights well over 48 hours straight. Cheap enough that you don't care if it falls 150 feet down an elevator shaft. Not great for tools with high amp draw. But for lights and other low draw, low manipulation tools it's a very worthwhile option.

Great video, thanks! As a contractor myself, I actually use generic m12 batteries with great results. I find myself even preferring my generics over my name brand m12 batteries sometimes. They’re very hit or miss, though, and maybe have used cells in them. I have had one fail that I got refunded for, a wire needed re-soldering. Additionally, on some of mine the clips seem to be more brittle and break easily vs the milwaukees.

@Tools-Tested
@Tools-Tested Год назад
Yeah I can understand that, higher amps you can see the voltage drop is higher compared to the real M12. Thanks for the info!
@DanielDar13
@DanielDar13 Год назад
The main issue with knockoff batteries is not just the fake rated capacity, but the very low discharge capacity they have. If you use them in a tool that requires a high discharge rate from the battery, the voltage will just drop dramatically and the tool will stop, or the motor torque will be negligible as if you were using an almost depleted battery. I purchased a couple of the "9.0" triple parallel cell configuration with the idea of using the cases to build decent quality batteries, but even the housing quality is a joke.

Yep I bought a 9 for a customer build as well and the case is not the greatest. The knock offs are definitely overrated!

So the price of the battery when you compare and you do 4×6 that’s 24$ and that’s the consumer price imagine how much the manufacturer pays for each cells then add a few bucks for the electronics and the plastic moulding for the casing and you have probably a 15 or $20 battery that they sell you 80$ 😒.
